Ay Chiwawa! Mexican Cafe

Use to love the breakfast tacos here but it has gone downhill. My last two stops here will officially be my last. Both times I get my usual sausage, egg and cheese taco and get 2 maybe 3 pieces of sausage and a huge load of egg and barely any cheese which I pay extra for.

The worst Mexican food I have ever eaten. Trash... food had no flavor, I ordered beef enchiladas, had dry picodilo in side with big chunks of potato. Beans were bland rice was flavorless. Do not eat there unless you have no taste buds. But the soda was good. Taco bell or taco cabana are way better.

This is the worst mexican food. I know when previous days food is re heated from previous days. Carne Guisada was awful, bland, and gross. The best thing was the waitor. Young, energetic and effecient. Food is mediocre at best.

Terrible food --- when you can't make refried beans give it up. Was the first time in my 79 years I didn't clean my plate of Mexican food. Rice was OK, Enchiladas not so much. Given a choice between them and Taco Bell -- Taco Bell. La Hacienda the best around and any other Mexican restaurant you can name. Greatest waitress.

Great atmosphere with very friendly staff. The cheese dip was a little salty, the puffy taco shell was soft on the outside and the fish taco were delicious would go back for them.

My wife and I, went to have dinner and we ordered 2 Tampiqueno plate, well, it took forever to get our meal, we found out that in the kitchen was an error since they thought that it was only one plate nd no two, when our server found out about the mistake, she came to our table and told us and she said, don't worries, we are working to get your order ready soon, the Manager was at the front of the restaurant fooing around with anothwer employees, he never came to our table to apologize for the mistake, nothing just fooling and laughing, we were eating chips to calm down our hungry, when the food finally arrive, one order was completly over welldone, cool and hard to be able to eat, I did order middle rare, it was impossible to eat, the flavor was like a charcoal completley burned, my wife asked me to ask for a new one but I didn't want to wait another 15 or 20 minutes more, when I asked for my ticket by our surprise they collect for the lausy order, I did ask the server why I did have to pay for something that in the first place it took way too long to have it done and it was not edible, I didn't to discuss and I paid and get out as soon as possible, we never will go again there and I recomend you to avoid this place because they would ripp you off

Very skimpy breakfast tacos

What a great place. Some friends of mine and me went here to eat. I'd never been here before. But I really enjoyed it greatly. The food was superb, the waitress was so friendly and came by the table often to see if we needed anything. We'll definitely go back here again.

I used to love this place but the quality has gone down hill for months every time I order food from her drive through or dine in the mess something up or the food is cold or burnt the queso is burnt every other time I come here. The drive through staff is super rude just saying yes? When you come up to the intercom. Instead of literally anything else, they just seem bothered that they have to do their job. I get it I work in customer service people can be difficult but you’re rude then ask for a tip in the drive through? It’s just wild to me

Came here after flying into San Antonio the other week. Restaurant was near our hotel. The food was delicious. My son enjoyed it so much that he was taking food from me, after he finished his meal.

This was the best experience. Much the same as the ownership did not change from Las Palapas but the best food price and service ever. I would give more stars but they are not there to give.

Ashley G was our server! She was amazing. Very sweet and accomadating! She gave excellent recommendations. Good was very affordable and delicious. I was nervous when I saw the drive through but it's very good food!

So this was my first time here.
Service was ok. Had a new waitress (she told every table it may take her longer to take the order). It did take a little longer, but nothing significantly out of the ordinary. Coffee ran dry twice and my water disappeared from the table when my plate was taken. ????
Ordered the Enchiladas de Creama and an app of the shrimp stuffed avocado.

Shrimp Stuffed Avocado- not what I was expecting it had mushrooms, squash. Tomato, along with shrimp, Avocado, cheese. I had a stuffed avocado one time before and I can't find it again it was a whole avocado with either shrimp, beef or chicken inside of the avocado where the pit sits, it was breaded and deep fried. (This was not that at all).

Enchiladas de Creama- good, but rice is not exciting or that flavorful. The creama is different I wanted to say it was more sour than I expected.

I wasn't offered chips and salsa prior or at all. I had to request a straw for my water, and request salsa with my meal. My water never returned. There was a table of kids that were screaming and one jumping on the chair in the booth.

I will come back, because overall my experience wasn't horrible. Prices are on point.
