Restaurant looks really nice but didn't have any high chairs for our baby so we weren't able to try it.

We had a set menu because there was 12 of us. Limited opens but got the spinach dumplings to start of. Give those a 5 out of 5 they were really good and good plate size. Then had the chicken parmasean 4 out of 5, wasn't anything special sauce was good but can't go wrong with a chicken parmasean. The plate was definitely a good size. For dessert got the smores panacata, that was a good 4 out of 5. Tasted really good but was a little too sweet for me(I'm not a sweet person but did enjoy). The atmosphere was nice drinks were really strong. Just took a bit to get plates but food was hot. Fiance also had the 3 cheese meatballs definitely recommended those. He had the parmasean lambchops those were okay felt like they were too breaded.

Shared plates with my dining partner. We were seated outside, the weather was perfect, and we watched the sun set as we enjoyed a wonderful meal. We had the Burrata appetizer followed by pear salad. We split the entree pasta, mannicotto de espinachi, and had roasted carrots, and then almond cake. What an excellent meal! My glass of wine was splendid. Our server was just right with everything.

The pesto spaghettis has zero basil and mostly broccoli, dry and bland, when ordered a Moretti they poured it from a bottle to a warm glass not ever frigerated, the AC was on full high and very cold, the bathroom was down stairs and yet again not one Italian in the kitchen, stolen fake attempt at Italian culture, Americans need to stop trying to copy Italian food, you always fail.Parking: NO PARKING

I openly express my dislike for Italian cuisine when dining out with friends and family. Despite enjoying pasta, I've found myself consistently disappointed with Italian renditions, often characterized by heavy tomato-based sauces lacking homemade flavor. Therefore usually not ordering any of the pasta and being sad that the other dishes did not delight.   However, Battalion in San Antonio challenged my preconceptions entirely.Entering Battalion, I was struck by the elegant yet modern decor, which exuded sophistication while maintaining a welcoming ambiance, complete with indoor and al fresco seating options. The food at Battalion was a revelation. The Bread Service was a delightful start, with each spread offering a unique experience, notably the Whipped Ricotta, which of the three options stole the spotlight. The Burrata, Beef Tartare, and Spinach Dumplings left me speechless, showcasing flavors unforeseen or tasted. Even though I initially scoffed at the idea of ordering Chicken Parmesan, Battalion proved me wrong with a rendition that surpassed all expectations. However, the true star was the Pepper Crusted Drunken Pork Chop, a dish seemingly unconventional for Italian cuisine (right? Or is this really an Italian thing), regardless it was executed flawlessly. I have no words and I do believe words would completely fail to capture this dish’s excellence; it's simply a must-try … seriously you must try it.Despite not being one for repeat visits, I’d be willing to try Battalion again as The Tartar, Spinach Dumplings, and Pork Chop are undeniable highlights, but I'm eager to explore more of their menu.  So …To Battalion: Let's collaborate on a "What We Ate" review video. @Colefamilyvalues and @minamakesofficial would be totally on board for a fun collab!

Went here with a party of 10 - were in town for some business meetings. This restaurant is one of the best I've been to - service was perfect, pacing of drinks, appetizers, mains, all just right. Food itself was delicious, and the setting was very nice. I strongly recommend.

This place was so good. Food is definitely worth it. Our waiter was amazing considering he was waiting 6 other tables. We ordered 2 bread service apps, 1 meatball app, 2 entree meals (they were small but super feeling especially since we got full with the apps) plus 2 glasses of wine for $80 and tipped our waiter a $20. He provided great service.Only disappointment …..but not really was I asked what bread they were serving. It was DELICIOUS I had to know! And the waiter forgot to ask the cook so we left not knowing. Seriously debating and calling and finding out just for that bread alone??

EXCEPTIONAL ENVIRONMENT AND FOOD; TERRIBLE SERVICE. We had a wonderful meal at Battalion. The food was exceptional, and our patio table was a lovely setting. Unfortunately, our server was terrible, and we waited nearly an hour for our dinner to arrive. Our drinks were dry until we went inside to beg for service, and we would have enjoyed our evening far more with an attentive server.

Food was so-so. Lasagna was flat and lacked flavor and sauce. The chicken parm also lacked favor and sauce. The spinach dumplings were delicious. The bread and the herbed butter sooo good. Service was excellent. Will go again even though food is so-so cause I like this place
