With the prices of goods increasing at an exponential rate (the price of eggs across the nation is averaging at $15 YALL), this place was a breath of fresh air. Located next to a bakery, this place is your "one stop shop" for bread and other baked goods (TASTYCAKES) that other retailers may have pushed out due to nearing expiration dates. Trying to find the name of the snack cakes they use to make in the 1970s they came in chocolate with white cream in the middle and also in light brown with strawberry in the middle,,Ohhhh my they were the best,we use to eat them when I was in elementary at at Adams Elementary in San Antonio..

Those small cakes that are mentioned above were delicious... But when I miss the most was a dark chocolate cake with the light chocolate Frosty I got one of those for my birthday every year I believe they also had a coconut one. I also miss going to the buttercrest bakery on Broadway Street when I was a little girl we went there every year got our pencil or ruler and our toast buttered bread. Those were the best memories.
