I had reserved a king balcony room back in September of 2025. We arrived November 26 for our stay. The room I reserved wasn’t available. The manager upgraded our room to an absolutely beautiful corner king balcony room overlooking Alamo Plaza. Service from every employee there was exemplary. My wife and I forgot our jackets in the room, and the general manager, Mr O’Neal has been absolutely fabulous in helping us find the jackets and return them to us. I’ve stayed at the menger hotel multiple times over the years, my favorite being around the holiday season . The public areas are beautiful and the access to the riverwalk is unbeatable. This stay was very different. While it’s not Menger’s fault the nightly fee plus parking fee (50 dollars a NIGHT) is crazy for the construction around the property.
