“This restaurant feels right out of my childhood in South Texas. A cool, simple roadside diner with an old school letterboard style menu. We ordered fish and burgers. Fish was excellent, burger was great, fries were something special. We got an entire loaf of BUTTER KRUST bread with our family order. I'd like to see a condiment counter, and easily accessible restrooms in the future. I will certainly return. The fried fish is reminiscent of Fred's (another local fav). Also....the serrano peppers with the meal is a sweet touch. Also...we had leftovers.“

“Definitely a place you can’t judge a book by its cover. We ordered the special 2 pc fish 2 pc chicken fries and a 32 oz tea for $10 and some change. It was very fresh and very good. It came with 2 good sized pieces of fish and 2 leg quarters. The chicken was crunchy and had lots of flavor. The fish was crispy and seasoned just right. The tartar was a lil too Mayo with not enough pickle for my taste. The bottom of the box was filled with warm fresh fries and we got 4 slices of bread. We will definitely be back for the family chicken special.“

“I know last night (in Boerne) Matthew was slammed with orders. I had to wait a long time for our order, but it was so worth it. The fish was flaky, the batter was crispy and not greasy, and not too thick. The chips were done to a turn with just enough salt on them. The portion size was perfect for two people, and we even had some chips left! I am British, and have a high standard for fish and chips. I had a decent fish and chip meal back in England in May when I visited. This was on par, if not better than what I had when I was in England!“

“The fish is served as one orders it super hot and for 7 dolllars and change it is served with 3 pieces of fish 3 slices of bread and French fries. The fish pieces are large and very exceptionally tasty. Awesome fish fillets. The place is well kept and kept very clean.“

“Fish and shrimp were hot and fresh. Fries were limp and Luke warm. Price is fair, but one packet of tartar sauce for 3 slices of fish is a bit ridiculous. Still nostalgic.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a step you have to watch out for upon entrance. Handicap parking is on the side of the building. I would NOT consider this establishment to be wheelchair friendly.“

“This place is amazing! I went with a group so I was able to try a lot of things on the menu and everything I had was top notch! Great selection of wines and beers. Fun environment that’s fancy enough for a date but chill enough to bring kids. Loved everything about the place!“
