“First time dining at Fish City Grill at 7010 W Loop 1604 N and could not have been happier with the food, service and all-around experience. My wife and I were eating out on our 22nd wedding anniversary and chose this location based on the online menu and reviews. She had the blackened cobia tacos on the special of the day menu and I had the fried seafood platter. Both were excellent as was the shrimp and crab queso appetizer. In addition, our waiter brought us a free sampler that included the roasted jalapeno soup, crab bisque, clam chowder and gumbo. All were delicious. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive throughout our meal and presented us with a 20% off coupon for our next visit. We were surprised that the place was not more crowded than it was on a Saturday evening, because the food and overall experience should be attracting a big clientele. Again, thanks to the entire staff for a wonderful dining experience. And for anyone thinking about visiting, don't hesitate. You're missing a great meal at a very reasonable price.“

“The food was superb! I had the scallops and the soup sampler. The scallops were simply incredible! And The best bisque I have ever had. I loved it so much I had some to go for sure!! “Definitely a place you can’t judge a book by its cover. We ordered the special 2 pc fish 2 pc chicken fries and a 32 oz tea for $10 and some change. It was very fresh and very good. It came with 2 good sized pieces of fish and 2 leg quarters. The chicken was crunchy and had lots of flavor. The fish was crispy and seasoned just right. The tartar was a lil too Mayo with not enough pickle for my taste. The bottom of the box was filled with warm fresh fries and we got 4 slices of bread. We will definitely be back for the family chicken special.“

“I know last night (in Boerne) Matthew was slammed with orders. I had to wait a long time for our order, but it was so worth it. The fish was flaky, the batter was crispy and not greasy, and not too thick. The chips were done to a turn with just enough salt on them. The portion size was perfect for two people, and we even had some chips left! I am British, and have a high standard for fish and chips. I had a decent fish and chip meal back in England in May when I visited. This was on par, if not better than what I had when I was in England!“

“The fish is served as one orders it super hot and for 7 dolllars and change it is served with 3 pieces of fish 3 slices of bread and French fries. The fish pieces are large and very exceptionally tasty. Awesome fish fillets. The place is well kept and kept very clean.“

“Fish and shrimp were hot and fresh. Fries were limp and Luke warm. Price is fair, but one packet of tartar sauce for 3 slices of fish is a bit ridiculous. Still nostalgic.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a step you have to watch out for upon entrance. Handicap parking is on the side of the building. I would NOT consider this establishment to be wheelchair friendly.“
