“My wife and I visited while in town for the 2024 eclipse. We stopped for a quick drink and some chips and queso at an outdoor table before walking the park close by. The drinks were very good and the queso was excellent. I can't remember the name of our server but he was extremely friendly and did a good job of making sure we were taken care of. We really liked the vibe of this place and would likely come again if we end up in town again sometime in the future.“
“Wanted to say that the calamari I had here is some of the best I've ever had! Been to some places where it's a tad too chewy. As a texture person, that's a hard pass lol. But this calamari was fried to crunchy perfection! Ordered it on a whim and was pleasantly surprised Lobster Mac and cheese was good, according to my partner-- I just don't think the flavor is for me. Burrito was really good. I've been here in the past and had one of the lobster rolls, not pictured, which was incredible. Overall this place is a tad on the pricier side, but definitely worth it, and does not miss! Would recommend making a reservation in advance. We were walk-ins and had to sit outside. The outdoor tables by the walls have heaters. But the other seats don't. Could be a cool spot for your kids to play at the playground while you eat, too“
“The Jalapeno Bacon House Burger is the best burger in Austin. The jalapeno, Caramelized Onion Aioli, bacon, and potato bun magnificently come together to rocket this burger to the top of hamburger hill in ATX. Also, I don't feel greased out or woozy after eating this thing like I sometimes do eating the burgers at Casino El Camino (2nd best burger in ATX). Burger order with fries (above average but are grossly overshadowed by the burger) takes about 20 min. The BBQ Burger is also very good with a robust bbq flavor but I prefer a little zing and stick to the Jalapeno Burger. When the stars align Little House will also unveil limited time burgers so if I fail to mention a version on the menu it's probably because I haven't had it as of this writing. Through eating with others I've managed to sample the fist and chips, fried pickle chips, and cheese curds which are also worthwhile but I'd only order those items in addition to a burger. I'm not really into brats so I'll leave you fellow yelpers to your best judgement.Little House beats out Casino, Cherrywood, Jew Boy (best burrito in ATX), Lebowski's and Jackalope as the new meat-making champeen. It doesn't hurt that Little House sits in the courtyard of the best bar in ATX too. That's a lot of bests all in one area.07/29/23: Due to a run on burgers LH was out late one night. A friend and I tried some of their dry rub chicken wings (8.0 out of 10). I'd recommend these. Know going in they are indian influenced sweet dry rub wings that are juicy on the inside and pair well with LH's excellent bleu cheese.“
“Stopped by this place after a game at Eastside H.S. tonight and we loved it so much! Wish there was one in south Austin. Shrimp, catfish, and chicken tenders are so flavorful and hush puppies, Mac and cheese, and fried okra were all 10/10. Be sure to get their hot sauce. Fried perfectly in clean oil and packaged with care since we got a to-go order. Can’t ask for much more. We will be back!“
“Baker St. Pub had a great band on St. Patty's day, green beer, and plenty of Guinness to go around. Table wait service was good considering how busy they were. Also tried the Shepherds pie balls, which were pretty tasty.A good time for all and fun!“
“I have loved Garbo's since they were a food truck that roamed the streets of downtown Austin. My favorite lobster roll in town (don't tell Clark's). Heidi, Sam, and Hannah have done a tremendous job expanding into the far reaches of our metro.“
