Halcyon Southtown Reviews
My work is hybrid, and I try to shake things up while working virtually by spending my afternoons in coffee shops. Halcyon is near my home in Southtown and has great wifi. Usually most of the patrons are working, so it's a good environment to get things done.
This place is exceedingly welcoming. It's not that often I see a visible representation of diversity in San Antonio, and you can find folks from all walks of life enjoying Halcyon.

Tonight we went next door to the sister property - Halcyon. Good luck on a Monday beating this Happy Hour! We ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy and the tomato bisk soup. Was it good? As soon as we finished.... We ordered the veggie mack. Another home run!
$3 beers.... $5 wine
Bites.... No bites, these were plates!
Well done, and being a 5 minute walk to our casa, we will see you often on Mondays.

It is a great space to share, study or meet with friends. It's a pity that some waiters behave so disrespectfully and unprofessionally, especially with regular customers who go almost every day. Sometimes they play the music too loud or they start playing with the lights of the place intermittently to disturb the one who is reading or working and try to get them out of the place. This is why I give you this rating. You should have better supervision and selection of the staff.

Halcyon Southtown offers a cute and comfortable atmosphere with a pleasant playlist and good service. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes, including the chicken egg biscuit Benedict plate, which is well-plated and not over-salted. The vibes of the place are chill, with good music playing on the speakers. The food includes favorites like heirloom toast and nacho tots, which customers describe as "God tier" and among the best they've had in a while. The Wild Mimosa flight has a few hits and misses, but overall the dining experience remains enjoyable. The place is clean and maintains good hygiene, although some customers have noted slow service, especially during busy times. One bathroom concern was mentioned about the toilet paper being far from the toilet, but this does not detract from the overall atmosphere. The chicken egg biscuit Benedict remains a highlight, and the restaurant has the potential to be a top-notch dining destination with continued attention to detail.
