“Stopped in for a nightcap with family from out of town. Sat at the bar - Robert the bartender was so friendly! He wiped down our area, kept our waters filled on a hot night & served great drinks! I was so glad my family got to experience true San Antonio hospitality. The atmosphere is super relaxing as well as great views.“

This is cozy little hole in the wall that everyone knows the regulars like family
They have pool teams that come in here during the season
It is a cash bar , has ATM if needed , and jukebox for music
They recently added some game machines

Parking can get tight on pool nights so come early

“Not a bad little neighborhood bar, usually have good service on busy nights, outdoor seating for smoking, but not the best spot if you're looking for a quiet place to enjoy drinks with ppl - it's a bar with karaoke if you're into that.“

And the music and dancing were great--plus they start early compared to other socials! I went to Sunday salsa night for dancing and live music, and I was still in bed before 10:30!“

“I like this venue. Great design and just fun to walk through the lobby. Stage is smaller and venue is too so not a bad seat in the plaec but oppertunity to upgrade your seats. Have been here fro Ben Folds (Music) and Stand Up (Somebody Feed Phil) and each time it has been a good experience. They definately live up to their name, AZTEC.“

“Stumbled upon a VIBE! We were not able to get an Uber back from the Alamodome to Saint Anthony Hotel, so walked a few blocks to this cute house, good cocktails, and the best part the DJ playing on the night of 4th of July was chefs kiss. Id come back here the next time im in SA.“

“We had a wonderful experience last night at Moon’s Daughters. The goat cheese appetizer and Dino rib entree were only outdone by the wonderful cocktails and service we got from Albert. Sitting outside on the patio was a great choice for the evening. We will be back!“

- Food is good bit smaller than larger lounges but its more than enough
- Nice window, so better than ATX lounge for plane watching.
- Only downsides: lounge is on the smaller side and no private bathroom.“

Its extremely small especially for live bands and it can get LOUD. When it gets crowded, its Hella difficult to walk around. The pluses are free arcade games and 2 small patios to get sum air.“

Great vibes, flavorful food, and solid drinks!

The crowd here is always great — good energy without being too wild. We ordered the lemon pepper and Cajun fried chicken wings, and honestly, the food didn’t even need extra seasoning. That’s how you know it was done right.

They had live music playing, which added to the experience without overpowering the conversation. Drinks were poured right, not watered down. Everything just hit the spot.

Definitely worth checking out if you're in the China Grove area.“

“If I could give this place 10 stars I would. SERVICE EXCELLENT. ATMOSPHERE EXCELLENT. FOOD OUT OF THIS WORLD. I literally had the best tostada of my LIFE! Was skeptical reading there was creamy corn on it but COME ON!!! That was soooo good. If you are anywhere in the absolute vicinity of this place come here IMMEDIATELY. Make a BEELINE! And if you try ANYTHING get the San Antonio tostada with the Chicken. You will NOT be disappointed.

On top of that they have a Bao Bun flight and Lo Mein and a Fried Chicken Sandwich....so something for everyone.

“We had an outstanding dining experience last night at Ruth's. The atmosphere was very laid-back and with a classical feel to it. The art deco is nice, and the proximity to the River Walk and convention center was perfect.

Our server Jonathan was an absolute legend, as he was extremely friendly, professional and attentive. He gave us some great recommendations, and even though we had some small issues with the food, he took care of everything quickly.

My friends share the large 40 once Porterhouse was absolutely fantastic. My filet was very undercooked, but the manager John Kelly was fast to apologize and even took it off the bill. A very nice gesture from him.

The general manager Frank even came to the table to apologize. He runs a tight ship, and was also extremely professional and very friendly. Definitely not the cheapest meal in town, but an incredible dining experience!“

“My work is hybrid, and I try to shake things up while working virtually by spending my afternoons in coffee shops. Halcyon is near my home in Southtown and has great wifi. Usually most of the patrons are working, so it's a good environment to get things done. This place is exceedingly welcoming. It's not that often I see a visible representation of diversity in San Antonio, and you can find folks from all walks of life enjoying Halcyon. I can't recommend this place enough.“

“Stopped in Merkaba to catch game 6 between the Spurs and the Thunder (OKC) and it was lit. Turned out to be a great choice. The atmosphere was fun and intense. San Antonio loves their Spurs. The DJ kept the energy going during every commercial break, making it feel more like a club lounge than your typical sports bar.

It’s a great place to watch a game at night with good drinks. They are known for their creative cocktails. It’s located right off of Riverwalk. After the game we grabbed some gelato from the nearby ice cream shop and took a stroll along the river. It was a perfect way to wrap up the evening.

If you’re looking for a place with good drinks, music, and a lively vibe, this is a solid stop downtown San Antonio. And remember to bring your ID.“
