I've been chasing Nashville Hot Chicken for a few years. Miko's in Houston is my gold standard. I love Hattie B's and Dave's is excellent for basic tenders with great French fries. On to Pete's, it's really good chicken, tender and juicy but it's not the same flavor profile as the standard Nashville joints. The breading was really heavy and you could taste the oil it was cooked in. I do recommend it, it's tasty but if you really want Nashville Hot Chicken find a Dave's or a Hattie B's if you can.

A great food truck business on Grayson in the Besame food truck lot. I purchased the Party Fowl. My wife and I were across the street having drinks and I decided to get the big box of chicken to share at the bar. It was an instant hit! About five or six other people ate and raved how good it was. The price was reasonable for such a large amount of food. The owner and his wife were very nice. We ordered the medium heat rating which was perfect. The flavor was spicy enough to enjoy but not destroy taste buds. Cayenne and paprika were the dominant flavors with a subtle sweetness. The meat is chicken breast tenders only (of which I'm usually not a fan, I like dark meat) but these were excellent! They were very juicy and not dry or greasy. The sides of mac and cheese, and fries were great. The comeback sauce was also a hit. Special mention, they had these wonderful sweet pickles that tasted like they were homemade (I didn't circle back too see if they were). On a funny side note, I'm writing this literally a week after having my first experience with hot chicken in Nashville. So far, I'm most impressed with Pete's!

Good flavor! So glad we visited this place and tried their chicken and waffle. Food came out hot and fresh. Size is good enough to share for 2. The cook was nice and overall a good vibe for Spring/Summer/Fall.

Best chicken regardless if you get it spicy or not. Really everything is delicious. Comeback sauce, fries, pickles, Mac and cheese...Also, they actually have hot chicken not like other places in town that have you sign a waiver and the heat level is not even that hot.

DELICIOUS!!! The Mac and cheese was very creamy and all the flavors blended well with each other. The chicken was crispy and the fries had good seasoning.

I ordered the original sandwich at a mild heat level, we didn't have a line ahead but after we ordered the line got long. The food came out pretty fast , I enjoyed the juicy chicken sandwich with the perfect level of heat. The Mac and cheese was also well made, not too over cooked and perfect with bacon and green onions. We also had the Roscoe but the heat level was pretty spicy as ordered. Huge portions! We were unable to finish our meals, but we are happy to take leftovers. So far on my quest for the perfect spicy chicken sandwich this one gets a 10 for perfection!!!!!

I ordered the largest family order option from this establishment. They had me wait over 45 minutes for my order. Which would have been fine had they not missed half of my order. the food i did get, waht soggy and underseasoned. And when I reached out via phone, they blocked all of my calls. I also attempted to reach out via Instagram and Facebook, and was ignored. When i mentioned this on a facebook group, they responded to my comment and said that they'd remedy this (nearly a year later, mind you) they chose to ignore me AGAIN.Since I cant respond directly - Yes, a year later when it was recommended in a comment and I replied why it shouldn't be. I DID DM you, ignored again. This literally all could have been avoided. You realize that those side items ARE half the order, right?

Gewd chicken! One thing that makes or breaks fried chicken is of course the breading which was nice and crispy here. You are able to choose what level of heat you want and the sauce is fire! I got the mac n cheese for the side and that was pretty good. Highly recommend this spot if you are wanting some delicious fried hot chicken.

Came here for the first time because of how good the food looked. Got the Dirty Bird (loaded with chicken with medium heat, mac and cheese, bacon, and sauce) and was in heaven. The server was really friendly and helped out with any questions we had.Great combination at a great price and would definitely come again.Parking: Was a bit difficult to find

Dave who?.....jk no really from the greeting to the food 10/10. I had the pleasure to met one of the owners. Very humble and his perfection towards his work was more than enough then I remembered I still had this amazing food in front of me to try. Thank you Pete's hot chicken for everything.
