They definitely go above and beyond for their customers and community. I would highly recommend!
We ordered drinks and were told that they were out of 5 of their 6 cocktails on the menu. Then they were out of several of the beers on their list. The appetizers were lukewarm. My husband ordered the grilled cheese. It wasn't even cooked long enough to melt the cheese. I ordered a 2nd drink that never arrived. Overall with so many great choices close by, this was a major disappointment!
Great food, great service..super atmosphere
Service and food were extremely slow. Ten minutes to get a cup of coffee. Another 5 minutes to get the cream, sugar and a spoon. 50 minutes from when we ordered to receiving the food. The food was OK but not worth the wait or the price. Their system is broken; very haphazard. We gave a nice tip to our waiter b/c it wasn't his fault and we are never coming back. A real shame b/c the area needs good businesses to come in and clean it up. Don't know how they have good reviews. Maybe heavy pours for the college students' drinks.
We were excited to try somewhere new but had a cockroach in my husband's salad not even 1/2 way through our meal. Waitress didn't care, hostesses didn't bat an eye. No attempts to rectify the situation, only handing us our check. Not going to waste my money there again! Not impressed with the food or service.
I can't say enough good things about this place. Every dish I have had has been incredible. I've been 5-6 times I always come when I'm in town for work. From their Won Tom nachos(rip) , to the cubano, duck confit gnocchi, I think they had a hot Cheetos crusted snapper their food is always awesome.
Food was great. The waiter was nice but did not really listen. He blew off 3 things I asked for. Everything else was good. For the price point I feel seasoned servers should be present. Pics are of the delicious food.
Brunch on Sunday was delicious. Great option for the family. Service was terrible. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed, but it seemed like it. Unfortunately, our server may also have been new because he didn't have answers to any of our questions and our food order wasn't put in properly. It took more than 15 minutes to get anything we asked for (cup of OJ, forks, the tab).
Service was incredibly slow even when we were some of the only people there for 10:30am brunch. We didn't order food for at least an hour and it took almost another hour for our food to arrive. We rarely saw a server during this time. Food was pretty good, although one person's breakfast burger was charred pretty badly and cooked well done on the inside which is not what I'd expect from a place like this. Also, they were out of two menu items that we tried to order. Not the worst experience but not really worth going again.
We went during restaurant week. Unfortunately, it was also the evening Celine Dion was performing so the restaurant was very crowded and incredibly loud. Additionally, it was very cold inside. Lots of people had their coats on. The restaurant seemed under staffed and the service left a lot to be desired, although the wait staff was friendly. While my meal was good, my husband was thoroughly disappointed and indicated he would not likely give the restaurant another try.

The service was absent -- had to go to bar to get drinks, ice, etc. Pork was raw -- had to take it to the kitchen to be cooked. No apology -- no concern -- no care at all. Won't go back. Cool space though -- really great ambiance.
We decided to celebrate my wife's bday at this establishment upon entering cute decoration. However, the table we got seated out was like having a spotlight on us the whole time. So no ambiance there lol. Anyhow server wasn't too familiar with the menus items. If you do not mind printed out paper menus on basic non-heavy stock loose sheets of paper for the menu. I think it would help them if they would t least invest in a menu paper holder. If your eco-friendly you just might not be too happy to see plastic utensils served in your dishes. Food was moderate I did have to ask the server if the duck ravioli were turkey instead because the taste was spot on for turkey and duck shouldn't taste like that after researching. It was ok however I can't say I'm screaming to go back. Bill for three of us spent over $100.00. On a good note, the burgers are a safe and simple option that has a good taste.
It was a great find when I was in SA for business. The pimento cheese hush puppies were the most amazing things I've eaten. Ask to sit in Lauren's sections. She made the experience.
This was our first visit to Grayze's. Rather than choose our lunch from the regular menu, we participated in the Culinaria 3-Course Meal. The Pear and Kale Salad was very tasty. My husband chose the Prosciutto Salad which was also very good. For the entree, we both chose the BBQ Beef Rib. The Mango BBQ sauce was delicious but the extra large ribs had very little meat. Also, the ribs were overdone. The desserts were delicious! My husband had the Chocolate Brownie with Mint Chip Ice Cream. I chose the Chocolate Mousse with Chocolate Cake Topping. The atmosphere of Grayze's was Casual, Rustic and TEXAS through and through! In the future, we plan to return when visiting an exhibit at SAMA.
Our restaurant week lunch was very good! The arugula salad with goat cheese, prosciutto and pickled onion was super tasty. That was followed by a beef rib and loaded mashed potatoes and dessert was a brownie/cookie with mint chocolate chip ice cream. It was all very good and the service was great. Enjoyable and We will be back!
