Sea Island is a locally owned chain. Been in business in a no frills kinda way since 1965. They have 60 locations in San Antonio and New Braunfels. They try to buy local and support locally caught seafood. I happen to love their shrimp salad. But its nothing fancy so go easy, big guy.
First time here in decades. Awesome grilled seafood n steak kabobs. Service for this restaurant was great for its tier. No pressure to tip so I tipped 25 percent of my bill split between server n busboy. Good folks I wish to support again.
Stopped by a seafood spot in San Antonio while visiting friends and had a pretty average experience overall.
You order at the counter and they bring the food out to your table, which was convenient. The portions were definitely generous, so you won’t leave hungry. I ordered the fish & shrimp, everything was good, but it felt more like something you’d get from a frozen box at the grocery store rather than a fresh, made-from-scratch seafood meal.
