SUKO Japanese Cuisine Reviews
Everything on the menu is top quality! Great food and drinks.
My family has been coming to Suko since they first opened, and it never gets old. We’ve worked our way through almost the entire menu and honestly haven’t had a single miss. Whether it’s a family dinner or a date night, this place always delivers.
The staff makes it extra special. Olivia is the sweetest with our kids and always greets us with a huge smile. On date nights, Wesley at the bar never disappoints, he always knows exactly what to recommend. The owners, truly...read full review
Food and service were both excellent. It was our first time here and we wanted to stay away from the norm. The server helped pick options that were both unusual and delicious. Suko Japanese Cuisine offers a menu that feels like a hidden gem in San Antonio. Customers have tried almost everything, from oysters and Wagyu pockets to Spicy Beef Ramen and the Ocean. The omakase is a highlight, with selections that never disappoint and show modern techniques and skill. For a special occasion, Omakase for my birthday dinner was described as amazing, with mind‑bending flavors and great wine and spirit options. Other favorites include the spicey beef rib ramen, chicken shrimp and beef noodle dish, bone marrow appetizer topped with chimichurri and salmon caviar, and the salmon mentai roll, which many praise for its fresh fish and great taste.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Servers guide customers to unusual and delicious options, and bartenders are praised for their recommendations. The owners treat guests like family, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The interior design is cozy and the modern instrumental music is fun without overpowering conversation.
Suko is known for top‑tier sushi, excellent food quality, and a menu that balances fine dining with budget‑friendly options. A strong appetite is advised, but the experience is worth the drive. The restaurant consistently exceeds expectations, making it a place people will return to for many years.
