True Texas BBQ is a real sit-down restaurant. The brisket and pulled pork are great, and the two sauces—sweet or spicy—compliment the meats well. The sides really stand out: the brisket beans are soft, creamy and full of flavor, the collard greens are excellent, and the cream corn is unique. The Side-Winder fries and loaded potato are also very good. The party room is perfect, with plenty of room and a clean, fun atmosphere. Staff are knowledgeable, polite, friendly, professional, and attentive. While most food is hot and delicious, sometimes orders like the pulled pork sandwich or turkey sandwich can be cold. The atmosphere is fun and the service makes guests feel like family.
