“You could eat every meal here for a week and never have the same thing twice (unless you want you, I don't judge). And it'll all be amazing. The scratch made banana pudding is a must. The staff is very relaxed and seem to promote just lazing around. The place became our group's post-photograph processing studio, and it never was an issue. If your heading to Big Bend, this is the place for vittles. They even have the good Mexico Coke and Fanta. In real life bottles.”

“This place came recommended from a local and I’m so glad we went! The birria and brisket tacos were super flavorful and well prepared. It was a bit busy on a Thursday evening with only one person working so it took a bit to get our food, but it was worth the wait! Highly recommend!”

“We ordered carry out from here after a long day of hiking in Big Bend. It was fantastic. The restaurant itself had a great vibe inside and the staff was extremely friendly. The pizza was excellent.”

“What a wonderful place to sit down and enjoy the views, while listening to calm music and enjoying the best breakfast in town. Food taste like it's homemade. There is absolutely no wrong choice when you order. This place is a must visit!”

“Went to the Starlight Monday and it was (predictably) swamped. (Our first visit was in August 2022 and we just waltzed in. April is a much more popular month,) We waited over 90 minutes for a table (which was very close to the estimated time.) We spent the waiting time on the patio with some margaritas and brisket queso (both highly recommended.) When our table was ready, service was good and the food was great. The chili burger was very tasty. My wife had a salad and a bowl of chili and was happy with both. We will probably be back before we leave town, and we will probably be waiting for a table with margaritas and queso. It's not really a bad way to wait.”
“LOVE this place. Greg is an amazing owner/host who makes sure everyone has an exceptional time. The live music was always amazing and even hosted some legends. Lost my phone at one point and the whole bar and staff got involved in the search. Shout out to the bar tenders who are rad! Christine was amazing and getting to hang with local Ron was a treasure. Make this your watering hole. Thank you Greg for a tremendous time!”

“We were so excited to come back to Terilingua and finally try La Kiva since reopening with new owners, Andy and Mallory. It did not disappoint! In fact, we came back the next day for round 2! The place is awesome, the staff were amazing and the food was incredible! Such a fun vibe to go to and hangout at the bar, or with a group of friends and a cute little back area to enjoy as well! These 2 have gone above and beyond to bring this unique gem back to life! We can't wait to come back!”

“Great hot beverage options, even for tea drinkers. I didn’t think the food choices were great, which was a bummer. The bagel seemed like it was from a grocery store and it was just package oatmeal. The kolaches were pretty good. Overall, I was mostly happy that we could get good coffee and tea.”

“We had the beef fajita quesadilla, chicken flautas, and chicken tacos. Everything was great! Meal came with entree, small salad, rice, beans, and some of the best salsa we have ever had. Highly recommend! Food truck sits behind office for RV park across from Cottonwood grocery store. There is a sign viewable from the road.”

“The food at Tivos is not good it is amazing! We spent many spring and fall time riding our dirt bikes down in the Terlingua ranch area and stayed at the longhorn just so we could have amazing breakfast and dinners every day of our visit,”

“The Tacos are amazing and they come with two delicious Sauces plus pico. Also the Bacon wrapped cheese stuff jalapeño is the great, and it’s only 2.50$. I live in the area for 2-6months out of the year and I eat here once a week. Cheapest prices in town, and the best Mexican food in the area. If there closed, Tivo’s is a close 2nd.”

“We sat outside on the patio and had great service from Amy. We enjoyed the chips and queso a lot! My husband got the burger and I the fajitas. Both were good. We’ll definitely be coming back. It started to get a little busier as we were heading out but we had no issues with slow service. Food came out quickly!”

“This is one of my favorites in the area. Service is friendly, food is really good and prices are reasonable. The enchiladas are good and I also like the tamales and tacos. It's a great place to stop and rehydrate with some iced tea (and nachos and maybe an Agave Wine Margarita.)”

“The new Chinese menu on Saturdays rocks! Finally, the one food we all want and can't get without a 200 plus mile round trip. It's actually quite good and priced fairly. Their ice cream is pretty good too.”

“I had the brisket tacos, hubby got the two meat with lean brisket and turkey. The meat is smoked with local mesquite wood and seasoned perfectly. The beans are very good too, so was the salsa, potato salad was solid. My only complaint is the tortillas were store bought, not made in house. Yes, it is expensive. More than you would pay pretty much anywhere else. I assume it's because Terlingua/Study Butte is in the middle of nowhere at the end of the supply chain. However, I do think it's worth the stop.”
