“I ordered the fufu and some fish. Ahhahah, i didn't realize that it was a finger food, but i know better now. It was awesome!!!! I'm just coming back to Sugar Land, and I was browsing the menu when I realized that I hadn't left a review. This time, I want to try the goat. Be aware that this food is spicy, and if you have IBS, you had better ask for a mild portion!“

“This was my first weekend trying Nigerian food and Kofoshi was my 2nd stop. I ordered to vegetable dish with spinach, rice and plantains I challenged myself to the spices. My dish was full of flavor and the plantains were fried perfectly with a buttery crisp around the edges. It’s stared on my return list.“

“Best Suya Spot in the Houston Area! Aboki Suya to the World!“
“Been here several times over the years. The food has been consistently good and the lychee martini is always delicious. A nice variety of sushi rolls. We had the Black Widow which was my favorite. The service was poor. There were only 4 other tables and plenty of waiters/waitresses. Ours didn't put our drink order in until we asked the hostess. He didn't come by to take the order. The hostess took our order and forgot one of the sides after repeating it more than once to her. Waiter really acted like he didn't give a flip to be working. What was supposed to be a nice evening for us wasn't all that great at The Fish because the waiter's attitude and being inattentive. Likely won't return on my own dime.“

“Although this place is nestled away, it is awesomely, overwhelming, and flavors and hospitality! I was treated with a visit to this awesome restaurant by my family as I celebrated my 60th birthday this year. Upon arriving to this place, I had read reviews. The reviews were pretty good. As soon as we stepped through the door, we felt like family. It’s as though we showed up to our family‘s house and were sitting and waiting on the freshest, most amazingly prepared meal ever! The food was absolutely amazing. The meat pies, the food, the stews, the soups, the drinks, and rice dishes were extraordinarily delicious. Although we live over 200 miles away, this is a place that is worth the drive. If you are ever in Houston, passing through Houston, or like myself, you live far away, you will be glad to experience such culinary exquisiteness!“

“This is a nice restaurant with friendly service. The food was tasty, and the portion sizes were quite large. The price is also quite reasonable. I guess the best thing was that the food came out piping hot, which was welcomed. Nice old school Naija music was playing softly, which created a nice homely ambiance. I will surely be visiting again to try the amala and abula.“

“I took my father-in-law to the restaurant to try their Fisherman Soup for sentimental reasons and the soup didn't disappoint. My son had their vegetable soup and both were top level. I tasted some of my son's soup and I can tell you it was the best vegetable soup I've had. We tried their Nkowbi and it didn't disappoint. Everything tasted like your grandma's village cooking. If you go, call then ahead of time because they prepare everything from scratch.“
“It started with an online order. I placed the order, and since all the dates for a pick up were 2 weeks away, I left a little note on the feedback box indicating a need to pick up the order the following day by 5:30pm. About an hour later, I got a call from one of their associates confirming the pick-up date and time I chose and, most importantly, asking for my preference regarding what and how I want in the food.“
“I was in Houston for a wedding with my husband a couple of weeks ago and was so excited to find a Nigerian restaurant close to our hotel—Nativeport did not disappoint! From our very first order, the experience was nothing short of amazing, and it stayed that way for the four days we kept going back.
The owner was professional, dedicated, and most importantly, can seriously cook! I fell in love with food all over again. Everything we tried was authentic and delicious. I even ordered extra food to take back home to California, and she kindly froze everything to make sure it would travel well on my flight.
P.S. My last meal before flying out? Fried rice, plantain, and peppered goat meat—perfection!“

“So i tried this place today. I am a sucker for a good customer service no matter who walk through your door(money is money). When I walked in the hostess was kinda cold so my first thought was another Nigeria place with attitude but I was determined to try it anyways, when the cook came out(I think she might be the owner) her attitude and presence was warm and friendly so needless to say I will be going back. As for the food.....Taste= 4/5 Portion= 5/5 cleanliness= 5/5 Customer service = 3/5“
“I tried the ready made rice and spicy stew and it was amazing! I also met the owner in the store and he was very hospitable. The store was busy and he went out of his way to speak with the customers. Great location also. It was easy to get in and out. Thank you for the service!“

“I stopped by this cozy African restaurant known for its succulent and finger-licking fish, soya, and alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to spend quality time with my wife - Madame Chief, and friends.
We had a swell time and shall stop by on our next visit to Houston, TX.
You, too, are invited to discover the milieu and have a fun time that you shall forever remember.“

“Their pepper soup is always good flavor wise. Just wish they would offer different spice levels. I eat spicy food a lot but the last time the spice level was ridiculous. I’d suggest giving people the option to add more pepper if they’ll like as opposed to it being overly spicy. Last week it was perfect, last night it had my mouth on fire! It actually made me mad how spicy it was lol..I’d honestly probably order it every week, but I cannot stand the spice level sometimes. I’ve also had other friends who love to eat their food, but it’s just too spicy. Just something to consider if you want more business.“
