Nice foods beautiful and friendly environment
checked this place out after hearing a few recommendations and had a pretty good experience overall. the food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quicker than expected. portions were decent and everything felt like it was made with care. staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed enough to enjoy a meal without feeling rushed. there were a couple items i liked more than others, but nothing that disappointed. prices seemed reasonable for the quality. overall...read full review

Ejide African Restaurant And Bar offers a great atmosphere with authentic Nigerian flavor and freshly cooked meals daily like Lagos. The food is delicious, with rich, unique flavors that taste fresh and well-seasoned. The smoky party Jollof and efo riro is a bang, and the Egusi and Pounded Yam hits the spot, with tender goat meat and a nice presentation. The Egusi soup comes out looking beautiful, though it can be salty. The oxtail pepper soup is also available. The environment is comfortable and makes customers feel very welcomed. However, service can be inconsistent. Fried food has taken an hour to bring out, even when the customer was the only one ordering, with staff repeatedly saying 10 minutes. On Saturday late nights, food comes out faster. The sit-down experience has issues: customers order at a counter with no physical or on-screen menu, and there is a 5% credit card fee. Some menu items like ogbono have not been available for six months. The food is solid but not competitive at its price, and a better experience may come from taking the food home. Overall, this place is highly recommended for Nigerian food in Houston Texas.
