“Food was AMAZING. Japanese salted egg pumpkins were a bit undercooked but good otherwise the food was stellar!! The owner is the nicest man. That being said I wish I could give them ten stars, but the service is absolutely awful. When I came in I was ignored. When I finally waved down an employee to help me be seated because we had a reservation they cut me off mid sentence when an elderly Asian lady walked in. They went right over to her ignored me and promptly sat her walk in party of 12. When I waved the employee down once more once he went back to doing nothing he just said "oh see you have a table now go sit go sit." Once he realized that I was not in fact with the lady that walked in after me he got angry and frustrated and started arguing that he had already helped me despite me CLEARLY not being seated I finally walked out. When my older uncle finally showed up he tripped over himself to seat us. I'm not sure if there is an age limit to eat here but I'd think being 30 would hit it. It was either that or the fact that everyone else that came in could speak Chinese and I could not. Also they do this thing where everytime someone ordered the house special duck a bell is rang and they shut off all the lights in the restaurant to be punch black so you can see the duck being lit on fire. I'm not sure why they wouldn't just dim the lights because s the most popular item the lights went pitch black while people were eating every five minutes, and that was horribly annoying. It's delicious but the smokey smell and the fire are gimmicky at best. The fire is still clearly visible please stop this. When your entire restaurant groans everytime a bell is rang its because we all hate it.“

“1st timer at this place. Foods were excellent. Service was awesome. We asked our waitress to get certain food items as the cart has not arrived yet and she went get them for us WITH a SMILE!!! How awesome is that? she has a resemblance of Zhang Ziyi !!! The dinning room is beautiful decor. We'll come back for sure. Parking was a challenge though.“

“Food quality is superb, service a bit slow only because of time I was there, the staff was having their meal so other servers were picking up the slack, got there after 2 pm which is late but not as busy, because they usually stop serving Dim Sum after 3pm, excellent food but some items a bit differently made that other establishments.“

“It is a decent place for traditional Chinese/Cantonese Dim Sum. They are inside. You need to walk into the tunnel. They have a lot of options for Dim Sum. I tried some of them and most of them were good. I liked their Red Chicken Feet, Pork Blood, Steam Pork Spare Ribs, Steamed Beef Tripe Mix, and Stir Fried Beef Flat Rice Noodle.“

“New Palace is always packed and for good reason. The food is delicious. The portions are generous, and the staff are efficient and friendly. Although there are always a lot of patrons, I have never felt hurried. We are a party of 2 and we have always been seated quickly.“

“Their family style dishes were nut allergy friendly!A very family style restaurant, I went with a group of 11 people for a holiday dinner. They have a curated "prix fixe" menu for the holidays that consists of a 9 course meal. There are some private tables in the back that fit around 10-12 people. All of the food was pretty good. I would say the highlights are the Peking Duck, the Lobster, and the Yee Mein w/ Abalone. We didn't get any white rice or water on the table, but I think someone could have asked. The tea with the meal was very smooth and flavorful as well.Overall a lovely place for their family style meal if you can get the private room.“

“This is my family's favorite Chinese food, and I think they have the best buns, churros, jellied bean curd in Houston. I buy them for the whole family once a week. The material is fresh, and the staff are very nice. I hope business is booming and I can enjoy their food for a long time.“

“I’ve tried DimSum in Sugar Land, Hwy 59, Katy and China Town. This place is my favorite. What I judge is based on my favorite dishes which are:1. Chicken feet: has the right soft texture and flavors. It’s moist and delicious.2. Pork Shu Mai is plump, meaty and flavorful. Also very good.3. Steamed Tofu skin rolls are soaked in a delicious sauce full of yummy fillings.4. Steamed pork ribs has the right black bean taste and flavors.5. Steamed rice shrimp rolls comes with that sweet soy sauce and soaks right into the rice roll.6. Sticky rice is also good.7. Rice turnip cake has delicious chunks of turnip in it.90% of the time I buy frozen and bring home to cook in my steamer. I love making it at home and it taste as fresh as eating there. I see them making fresh dim sum everyday day so I know I don’t get old dim sum. This place has hard working people making their dim sum by hand so it’s much appreciated when I eat it.“
