“Always a good experience. Food tastes great, good customer service. Have tried pizzas, pastas, kabab platters, burgers, fried chicken and drinks. You can’t really go wrong. Highly recommend the Bihari pizza on the classic crust. Really wish they’d bring back the “spice injected” fried chicken broast and the butter biscuits!“

“This is one of those spots I keep coming back to without even thinking about it. The service is usually on point, the staff is friendly, and they actually seem like they enjoy being there, which makes a big difference.

I’m a simple order kind of person here: burger, fries, and drinks. The burgers are consistently solid, fries hit the spot, and the drinks are really the main character…good pours, fun options, and you don’t feel like you’re getting played on the price.

The vibe fits the area perfectly: chill enough to grab a casual bite, but still lively enough to feel like you’re “out.” On some Fridays they have a DJ, and when he’s on, it turns into a nice little low-key turn-up without being chaotic. It’s a cool experience if you’re trying to stay local but still want some energy.

Overall, if you’re in Sugar Land and want good drinks, solid bar food, and a relaxed-but-fun atmosphere, Bar Louie is an easy yes.“

“Had my birthday dinner here organized by my friends. This place is a vibe, though that night it was empty. I love the dim atmosphere, and the rooftop outdoors section. Will definitely come back when the weather gets warmer.
You don't come here for the food, so don't hype yourself up for that. My lamb chops were just ok, paired with some bland broccoli and a mountain of mashed potatoes lol. The drinks though, are delicious and strong. Get you some cocktails. Thank you to the staff for making my night special.“

“My husband and I had date night tonight and decided to go to one of our fav spots, again. We've been going to Brandani's for almost 10 years. As always...our experience was superb, so I am taking a moment to give a review:). We're ALWAYS happy. The staff is top notch, the menu is consistently delish, we love the atmosphere, and it's a sweet bonus to be greeted by the Brandani's themselves. Whenever we find ourselves free to have a date night we can always rely on Brandani's for a lovely evening. Well, I somehow bumped my glass of red wine and it splattered all over my face and shirt tonight...but because the Brandani staff is so wonderful and we feel at home, it was easy to laugh off and continue to enjoy our evening together. Additional charges are not clearly disclosed, and an 18% service fee is automatically included in the bill, yet customers are still prompted to leave an additional tip. As a result, what appears to be a simple meal with drinks can cost around $40. For individuals on a modest income, this pricing structure feels excessive and unfair. Greater clarity and honesty in billing practices would significantly improve the dining experience.“

“HOLY SMOKES! The dinner menu here is AMAZING. We came with friends and tried so many dishes and truly they were all so good, I was blown away. The mashed potatoes are the best I’ve ever had!!! Short rib French fries Short rib grilled cheese Salmon Chicken Caesar family Mac and Cheese Steak with Chimichurri Literally everything was so so good!!! Also the team here is so fun and nice. Perfectly laced thin smash burger patties on a soft fresh potato bun was just what we needed on this cold Jan afternoon. And the hot crispy fries were just the icing on the cake. Perfection. “1/5/26- (Monday), I had a long day at work and decided to go to a happy hour. I searched in my area and found this restaurant. It was my first time going. I was greeted when I walked in and went to the bar. The bartender-Russell greeted me with a smile and was very pleasant. He answered all my questions and also suggested some items. I was also given a free appetizer since it was my first time there. Manager-Maegan brought it out to me. She was pleasant and had a smile on her face as well. I so enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, as well as the staff and management. She even given me a free dessert card to come back. I so recommended this location. Great people, food, drinks, and happy hour. They have a large variety as well as the drink menu.“

“The hubs and I have come here twice. First time we got the steak and burger and a sampler platter. One of the best steaks I've ever had! And he loved his burger. “We first stopped at the main location in Bryan, TX on our way home and ended up joining the VIP Premiere Red Wine Club. We were thrilled to learn there’s also a location close to us in Richmond, so naturally, we had to check it out.

We’ve been a couple of times now and overall, we truly enjoy the atmosphere and vibe at the Richmond location. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and has the kind of charm that makes you want to linger over a glass of wine.

On our first visit, my husband ordered the hamburger and said it was very good. I went with the pasta special — poblano chicken penne — and loved it so much I ordered it again on our second visit. Interestingly, the dish looked quite different both times, with noticeable changes in presentation and ingredients (possibly different chefs?). Unfortunately, the consistency wasn’t quite there. The first time, it was much more flavorful and satisfying. This time, I had to ask for salt and pepper to bring the flavors to life.

My husband ordered the Douglas-“Shepard Style” (with meatballs) and absolutely loved it — a beautiful balance of basil, oregano, sauce, meat, red pepper, and crust. He said the mix of flavors and textures worked perfectly together.

We also enjoyed our complimentary glasses of wine from the VIP membership. I had the Paulo Blend, a bold and full-bodied red that I really enjoyed. My husband tried the Petite Sirah Private Reserve. Normally, I’m a big fan of Shirah, but this one was a bit too overpowering for my personal taste. We also split a Paulo Cabernet Franc, which turned out to be a lovely medium-bodied red — smooth, pleasant, and definitely one we’d order again.

For dessert, we shared the Blueberry Lemon Cream Cheese Bread Pudding with Emblaze Sauce — and wow. It was absolutely amazing. The bright blueberry, tangy lemon, creamy cheese, and warm bread pudding all came together into one indulgent, perfectly balanced bite. A true palate pleaser.

Overall, we really enjoy the experience here, with just a few small hiccups.

Both visits were during the daytime and fairly slow, which leads to my only real con:

I understand that wineries are typically more laid-back, but since it wasn’t busy either time, the wait staff moved very slowly when taking orders. In the evening, that relaxed pace makes sense and feels appropriate — but during the day, some guests may be working within tighter time constraints.

It might help if staff simply asked guests whether they have plans afterward, so they can better gauge the level of urgency. A small adjustment like that could really elevate the daytime experience.“
