“Great tacos! Super friendly staff, prompt service. Fresh ingredients with amazing concoctions and combination of flavors. It was my first time there, so it was all new to me, but I thought it was better than Torchy's. Or at least a nice change of pace from Torchy's (we eat there a lot) . Can't wait to go back. Fun and clean atmosphere, too.

Even there there rice and baracho beans are way better than anywhere I've ever had. Everything I've had here is great but listen to me when I tell you, GET THE STEAK TACOS!!!
the tenderness and flavor will blow your mind, definitely not what your used to in a street taco! And the sautéed onions are amazing!!!

And the owner/chef is awesome, always super friendly and talkative, and to my suprise even answered my questions when I was asking how he gets his tacos so tender.

I don't think I'll ever find better tacos but I'm still looking

“Best Tacos I’ve had in a while. I got the Asada on corn and the Beef Birria. The tacos came with cilantro, onion, grilled onions, and the birria consommé. The tacos were fresh, tender and flavorful. The general manager and the cashier taking the order Maria and Jaqueline were so nice and sweet. They come to the table several times to ask how everything was going good. And if I needed anything to let them know.

“Don't be fooled by Taqueria Charly's unassuming gas station storefront, because they serve some of the best traditional mexican style street food in DFW. They have all the classic offerings, and they are all delicious. Very tasty salsa verde and salsa rojas as well!“

“I ordered the food on DoorDash before. Today I decided to pull up an order my favorite beef torta and fries to my surprise it was inside of a gas station. Now eating there already I knew the food was good but now I wanted to see what I was dealing with. Again I was shocked the store was clean. The walls had new Price signs on them and the floor was mopped and smelled clean. As they should , the kitchen was clean and the store was well kept you have to pay at the front counter in order to receive your food and you hand the receipt to a young lady behind the counter and they prepare greatness It is a must try

“This place is hard to find. Not only is there no sign of their logo anywhere visible in front of the cashier booth, but there's no sign outside of the shady gas station it shares. I almost didn't order, since the interior was quite abysmal, but was clean. It's a huge turn off to see the prepared meat sitting in trays, but I was already committed to trying this place, considering the reviews were so good . The lady at the register was super nice, and was bilingual. I was able to practice my order in Spanish, and she responded back in English. I saw a sign apologizing for their increase in prices. I was kind of shocked, because the tacos are already under $2 a piece. This place is quite a bargain compared to other places around Dallas.

I ended up getting three tacos, all on corn. Not only did they give you cilantro and onion, what they give you half a grilled jalapeno and grilled onions as well. Every meat I had was delicious! The only real complaint I can give is that there's no charred exterior, since it was all sitting in a steamer pan. But the lack of charred texture is made up by the moist, flavorful meat. The machete and pastor were both fantastic, but the mole de puerco really stood out to me. The mole one had tons of flavor, and it seems like they make the mole in house. The corn tortillas themselves were soft, but sturdy. The salsa verde and rojo are both fine additions, although I will say the pastor and mole de puerco overpowered any sauce I put on top of it. Overall an affordable and delicious meal.“

“The food and drinks were good. I had the fajita torta and my son had the barbacoa torta with Horchata. Great portions and the price for the torta is reasonable. It looks like it would be a whole vibe on a weekend night, but it was pretty empty when we went. The customer service is non- existent. We had to go to the register area to get additional napkins, limes, and a to-go container. I recommend they work on their housekeeping and customer service. I also didn't check my receipt for additional fees 20% gratuity fees(mentioned on others previous reviews). If that's the case I might reconsider if I will be going back.?“
