Overrated and overpriced. I lived in NYC for nearly 5 years. I know a good bagel. Ate them all the time.
The bagels here are small, dense, and rubbery. In other words, the opposite of what a bagel should be. Could barely enjoy my lox bagel without damn near all the toppings falling off because it was so rubbery that I had to wrestle the bagel to get a bite. It required actual effort to eat and was needlessly messy as a result.

I popped in here on a whim to get a sandwich and I was blown away. The food is amazing. They make their own bread and pastries and they are incredible. This is now one of my go to sandwich places if I'm looking for lunch.
