Country House Café Reviews
My husband and I have been here few times and it's always good and the waitstaff are very friendly.
Driving home from Louisiana searching for a place to eat we came across this gym. Don't be fooled by the looks of it. The employees were all friendly and welcoming. They were playing christain music. The food was made fresh. I got the chicken enchiladas rice and beans 😋 friend got chicken tacos both meals yummy. definitely will be back. highly recommend
We love coming here for breakfast! It's one of the rare places that does Mexican rice like my mom. Staff is always friendly and nice, can't recommend it enough

The Country House Café offers a variety of delicious dishes, including the popular meatloaf with red sauce on Monday nights, hand-battered chicken tenders, and chicken-fried steak. Sides such as mashed potatoes, black-eyed peas, carrots, fried okra, and cole slaw are also well-regarded. The café serves authentic southern comfort food with a Tex-Mex twist, featuring house-made beans and fresh tortillas. Diners can indulge in amazing desserts and enjoy attentive service in a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Recently, the café has undergone an inviting redesign, enhancing the overall dining experience. The ambient music from a favored Christian radio station adds to the pleasant atmosphere, while the proprietor's warm welcome fosters a friendly environment. Guests have praised the country fried steak and the migas, with many eager to explore the full menu. While the Tex-Mex offerings, such as the number 12 plate with a crispy beef taco, beef enchilada, cheese enchilada, rice, and beans have received positive feedback, there are occasional mentions of the chips needing improvement. Overall, the café remains a highly recommended local, family-owned business.
