Growing up in Houston, Shipley’s was synonymous with comfort and indulgence. The memory of fresh, soft, and delectable glazed donuts, still warm from the oven, is etched in my mind. The kolaches were a delightful treat, soft, warm, and bursting with flavor.
However, my recent experiences at the location in The Colony have been less than satisfying. A weekend tradition with the kids, the quality of both the donuts and kolaches has noticeably dipped. The once-tempting...
