“This place has some of the best smoked BBQ in the whole area. Best collection of Bourbon, whiskey and Rye of any bar I've ever been too. all the staff I've every met there is always, friendly, respectful, efficient, professional. This is hands down our favorite hangout in the whole area.“

“I got the lunch special of 1 meat and 1 side as well as the lemon cake dessert. The brisket was very good in my opinion, perfect balance of fat and lean meat; loved the sauce that was on the side, it was very peppery but balanced with a slight sweetness. Comes with a side of toast and pickles and pickles onions that were also very delicious and good balance. The Mac and cheese was a semi disappointment due to it being spiral noodles but the cheese sauce and breadcrumbs really bring it back to being tasty. Lastly, the dessert, smoked lemon cake. It was hard to judge it, they forgot the berries so it was good but not quite up to par, the cake portion did not taste smoky, was very dense but still moist. Comes with this lemon drizzle/curd sauce that was very good. Worth a visit for the atmosphere and food, but if you're looking for solid BBQ I would give this place a pass and maybe go to hard 8, Hutchinsons or even maybe Loro if you're looking for something more modern.“

“Donna is the best associate I have ever experienced in fast casual restaurant. She is fantastic, great, very friendly and courteous. She made us feel as if we knew all our lives . This was the first experience my friend has ever been to HEB before and she thought the food was great and Donna was fabulous. Cameron is awesome.“

After a run through our local H-E-B, I knew the trip wouldn’t be complete without triggering a BBQ encounter. This place doesn’t hold back, clean setup, friendly service, and portions that feel like a fully charged Hyper Beam. I went with the Brisket BBQ Cornbread and a side of Brisket Beans, and as someone who firmly believes beans belong in chili, this combo landed like a Critical Hit. The meal filled me up like a Full Restore and sent me home ready to unload groceries with HP restored. Safe to say, this is a repeatable route I’ll be grinding again… and again… and again.“
