Sowell's BBQ is a small-town gem that serves up delicious and plentiful meals. The friendly and proficient servers provide excellent service. The BBQ is extremely good and reasonably priced, with a charming dining room that adds to the warm atmosphere. The owner, Rick, is a welcoming presence who is passionate about his craft. Reviewers have raved about specific dishes, including the brisket, chicken strips with fries, Texas toast, biscuits & gravy, and the Brisket Sandwich. Complimentary boracho beans and corn bread come with every meal, and the green bean and coleslaw sides are a hit. The mesquite-smoked Brisket Sausage is on point, and the potatoes and BBQ sauce are excellent. A must-visit when in the area.
