Bernard is definitely one of the very few go-to places in East Texas for fine dining. A welcome treasure in an otherwise mostly foodie desert. Last night I had the Blackened Halibut Oscar with a Dow Cab and salad. Every bite was delish and even better with outdoor seating to enjoy a beautiful evening with cooler temps. Service was great and the owner was around all evening. Highly recommended.
Another amazing dinner at Bernard's! Halibut ceviche was amazing. The scallops and stag are as good as anything you'll get in Dallas. Service was awesome as always. Special thanks to Krystal and Haley for taking care of us. Krystal went out of her way to make sure we had a special evening.
If you don't see the wine you want on the menu, ask if Bernard has a bottle tucked away. He usually does!
The presentation was stellar. The food and service were perfect. Scallops are the hardest to get right but they did an amazing job. The olive tapenade before the meal is worth the price of the meal! Subdued atmosphere is great for date!
