“Great restaurant serving Peruvian & Colombian food. Owner has a restaurant in Dallas and now the one in Tyler, which is under a year old. The chicken with shrimp sauce was absolutely divine. And who knew white rice could be so good? Also tried the fried calamari with fried yuca. I wish the calamari had been crispier--it was on the chewy side. Try the papaya smoothie as it's great. I will return to try their other dishes. Peruvian cuisine is world known for their spectacular seafood.“
“My husband and I just had our wedding reception at Villa Montez, and it was a fantastic experience! Our server, Lana, was very professional and thoughtful during our meal. The food was delicious! The sea bass and filet are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Our guests raved about the meal, and I’m still getting texts from them saying that the food was amazing! We booked The Cellar in the basement, and we loved the privacy that afforded us.“
“Iron skillet enchiladas are delicious, so are the fried green tomatoes, and the huge chicken chimichanga. The Mac n cheese is the best I've had in a long time.Parking: There are two lots available for parking on the weekends and in the evenings. The main parking lot in front of the restaurant is always full, but there is another lot right next to it that's mostly empty.Wheelchair accessibility: You can roll right up to your table.“
“My wife and I took our kids here and we absolutely loved it. There is an excellent family that owns it--they are so nice. Enjoyed talking to them and loved the food. We went in to get a small, late lunch, but also got the small passion fruit pie, and now we are really looking forward to trying a lot of the other baked goods/sweets. Very good!“
