“Looked up seafood on Yelp and wanted local , not chain. This eatery is in old Waco and gets all the locals. It's not glam but very neat and clean. Roxanne recommended several items. Hubby loves fish and got catfish fillets and said they were hot, crispy and huge portions. I got a Shrimp PoBoy snd it had fat flavorable shrimp. Bun toasted just right. We will be back. Great service that is rare these days.“
“I was a first-time visitor and had driven by many times, but this time I decided to stop for lunch. When you first go in, you have to order at the counter and pay, and then sit down. There was plenty of other seating, but I chose to sit in the area near the entrance. The jambalaya and other food was absolutely great. While I was eating, the chef came out and inquired about my food and my experience. Overall, I had a pleasant meal there.“
“We were wanting fried chicken then Yelp lead us the way but upon entering the smell of the fried catfish is annoyingly (in a good way) messing up with our head. Haha. Ended up getting a basket of 3 catfish, 3 shrimp, and 3 oysters with fries and red beans and rice to share. This combo is good for 2 people already you can probably add another side, a la carte for more food but this is enough for us. Our order came out piping hot, fresh out of the fryer. No frills spot, upon entering you will be greeted by a nice lady to take your order and she will pleasantly wait for you to decide which one to get. Yes, it's chicken, and fried seafood but the combo is extensive. You can also asked for your basked to be grilled if you'd like for an extra. The place is what yours expect from a southern, catfish place. Open sitting and patrons hanging out just gossiping. They also have a drive thru window for the convenience of not having to get out of your car.“
“The food was good. A little pricey for the meal in my opinion. Main course was huge. The dessert was overpriced.Atmosphere was of an upscale restaurant although everyone was dressed casual (jeans and T-shirt ok).We weren't in a hurry but our food came out in a timely fashion.Menu is a lot of seafood, Cajun food, some regular items like chicken fried steak, and hamburger.Would eat here again.“
“All in all, pretty good!! We had the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, Catfish Atchafalaya, and Lemon pepper wings, Mad Marry… food came out nice and hot.great flavors on the Catfish Atchafalaya which had fried catfish, crawfish, shrimp over a bed of rice. Would have liked my rice a little firmer but other than that… pretty good! Maddie was our server and she was definitely on point.“
“The best Cajun/New Orleans food in Waco…not even close. Actually as good or better than many places we’ve eaten at in New Orleans. This is a tiny restaurant with minimal atmosphere but don’t let that distract you from the great food. We will definitely be back.“
“Robert at the register was super helpful and I'm so glad he advised against getting the 3lb crawfish for one person because I barely finished 2lbs. The shrimp, potatoes, and corn are delicious and I'm actually so glad to have stopped here on my visit to Waco.“
“Fabulous food and the staff is friendly and attentive. Wonderful atmosphere with creole music playing. It's Cajun flavor but not hot and spicy. Flavor that leaves your mouth happy and wanting more. Desserts looked tasty but we were too full to try them. Locally owned by a vet and his beautiful wife. Will definitely be back!“
