“Beautiful location with lots of seating. Very popular especially on rainy days. The staff is incredibly friendly and the coffee is excellent! In the morning before noon there’s extra seating in the building next-door before the bar opens. In the afternoon you can enjoy a brew over in the second building if you prefer.“
“Whenever we're at the Waco Downtown Farmer's Market, we ALWAYS stop by Muchos Tacos. Their barbacoa tacos are seriously the best, and we've loved everything else we've tried, too! Definitely something on the menu for everyone! I also love that they're a small business operating in the area. Our interactions with everyone on staff have been nothing but positive!Kid-friendliness: The street corn tacos are the perfect size for small hands! Full flavor but spice is added by taste through the various salsas offered.“
“The food was really tasty and the service was good and fast. My favorite was the beef brisket. Tge salmon was a little too strong for my taste. But not bad . The place wasn't busy when we went at 2ish pm. Nice little spot, lots of outdoor seating.“
“Never had chicken and waffles before. Asked the owner what's up and she provided a brief history of the combination. I had to give it a try, had the spicy momma and my wife had the classy lady. Both were delicious and we are both new converts to the chicken and waffles following! Shamica was so nice a true breath of fresh air. Definitely recommend giving her food a try.“
“Food, Service, & Ambiance deserves 10 stars. You cannot go wrong with this food truck, holy moly it's my favorite. Everything is great, including the staff. Just don't expect a club sandwich hahaha I get a kick out of watching people walk away because they thought it was something else without looking at the menu first. Love y'all and happy to be a local!“
“Walking in the door, we knew we were in the right place for dinner! It's very open and inviting and the energy pulls you right in! We ordered three small plates to share and we each ordered an entree. The food came out quickly, all piping hot and cooked to perfection! The Corn Ribs are absolutely stunning, tender, juicy and seasoned perfectly. The brussel sprouts were another stunning bite, so much so we ordered another one for our meals! For our entrees, the salmon was cooked wonderfully with a nice crispy skin, the pork chop was a tasty smoked medium and the short rib was melt-in-the-mouth perfection! Add perfectly mixed cocktails to the list too, they definitely know what they're doing in the kitchen and behind the bar!I highly recommend Milo All Day, every day and twice a day once in awhile!!“
“Walkable to downtown Waco and shopping.Super fun brewery after work date spot! The beer here is so good and they rotate a ton of their own special crafted beers. We got the pretzel bites and the pizza. Both were so good! The pizza crust was crispy and had a ton of flavor. One of the better pizzas in Waco!Definitely could go here to just grab a beer with some friends.“
“Bare Arms Brewing is the place to be in Waco! With a large selection of brews, plenty of seating, games to play and delicious grilled food, you can't go wrong. We started with a flight to find our favorites, ordered some food and then just sat back the rest of the night and enjoyed all the company of locals and visitors. The flights are generous so no problems finding a favorite. We also enjoyed a tour of the brewery where the owner gave us an in depth overview of the brewing process. With excellent service, food and brew, Bare Arms will always be at the top of our list of Waco hot spots!“
“Very good açaí bowls and smoothies. It is good for a sit down and relax meal/drink. Service is friendly and prices are good. Lots of vegan and gluten free options. The first time I went, my coffee order was unfortunately wrong and I didn’t get the extra add on I wanted on my açaí. Regardless, I have come back several times and would recommend!“
“Lovely atmosphere and energetic. The staff were so very friendly including our server Lauren! We were in town for the eclipse and they had fun with using it as the theme for the evening. The owner was even wearing a Star Trek uniform for the space/eclipse events of the day which made our day as big Trek fans. The food was rich and flavorful. I had the wagyu NY Strip and it was so melt in your mouth. Ingredients like the steak were locally sourced. Crispy brussel sprouts are amazing. Limoncello cake is very refreshing and not too heavy. Thanks for a great evening for our first time in Waco!“
“Brotherwell has a cool vibe and great location. Tons of space, friendly staff.Tried the Shelter in Haze hazy-ok, looked great, but flavor was closer to an IPA than the fresh pop hazy usually encountered. Wacotown IPA definitely was, better of the two for me.Very chill space to unwind from travel or just wrap up the day.“
“Immediate takeaway - the absolute most creative coffee stand. It's in a vintage elevator! Simple, elegant, quirky, one-barista Cafe. Great drink selection for the size and resources available. The barista seemed to be a bit distant, not the warmest, but, may have been me. Drinks were well timed, but the dirty chai I got was not sweet at all, surprisingly. Not the worst, just unexpected for the flavor. Overall, a great little place in a historic building with cool vibes and good brews.“
“There is no one in Waco who has legitimate Huaraches except Gary’s Grill. Don’t let the American sounding name fool you. This is a family business and their recipes come directly from Guadalajara, Mexico! No Tex-Mex!!! They use fresh ingredients, made to order. Tortillas are always handmade to perfection! Their customer service is first class. You will never be disappointed with your order. But if by some chance you are… they will definitely make it right. That’s just who they are! Great people with great food and a great business. Don’t hesitate to give them a try!Vegetarian options: They can make a vegetarian version.Kid-friendliness: They are happy to make your order suitable for your kid.“
“I was a first-time visitor and had driven by many times, but this time I decided to stop for lunch. When you first go in, you have to order at the counter and pay, and then sit down. There was plenty of other seating, but I chose to sit in the area near the entrance. The jambalaya and other food was absolutely great. While I was eating, the chef came out and inquired about my food and my experience. Overall, I had a pleasant meal there.“
“Cool place with several culinary options. Didn't grab any photos of the tamales and guacamole from Waycool Tacos but they were amazing. The guacamole was chunky the way I like it and definitely fresh. The tamales were not greasy or dry but just right. The chicken was seasoned well. The Village Pizza place is amazing. Nice place to visit.“
“The artisan cheese pizza is great, the toppings are good. Have eaten in and done pick up, same portion either way. Kitchen and bar staff are great. It is 100% a football/sports place tho. Great if you love that. Order out if you don't.Wheelchair accessibility: No ramp, and cutting it close with table heights and spacing. Would be tiresome getting situated and the bathroom is tucked away and small.“
“This place was amazing!!! All of the staff were very kind people and the food was incredible. The meals came out quickly and it was easily some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. From the Alamo Plate, which was extremely fresh, to the Burrito Bowl, every aspect of the food was delicious—even the chips were incredible. My family thoroughly enjoyed our experience and we highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Best bar in Waco. Drinks are cheap. People are nice. Got a great western vibe but the let alone greatest trait about this place is you can go to class, walk approx. 143 steps and bask in pickle shots after you nailed your semester long presentation. Bobby is one of the bartenders. He'll set you up. Long story short, Buckle makes education bearable. Oh and last thing the service here is also incredible.“
“The definition of a hidden gem at the back of the building on the southwest corner of 6th and Franklin. The bar itself operates out of the original elevator shaft. Why is that important? There's one machine and one attendant, so your drink will not be rushed. Drop in and enjoy.“
“Best pizza I have had in a longtime. Beautiful scenery and outdoor dinning. Wings were really good as well. Didn’t take long for us to order and get our food. The negative reviews are just a bunch of salty Karen’s who just want to complain. I came from temple and would come back to Waco and bring family to this place, really enjoyed the food and environment“
“It was a great night for me and my girlfriend.the hippodrome was really nice has a lot of history behind it the workers were really nice. Hell one of the ladies took me and my girlfriend to whataburger so we would not have to wait there for an Uber if and when I get a chance to go back I’ll be there“
“I want candy I want candy This place is absolute candy heaven. It has all the candy that I used to eat when I was younger and now. I was really impressed with their selection. I even found my beloved fruities!! The store is decorated colorful and fun. It is definitely eye catching and pleasing. It is organized so well. I also opted for two truffles and they were so smooth and creamy. The service is great. They are patient and don't mind answering any questions. Check this place out if you have a sweet tooth or need a candy fix!“
“You get a great meal with a lot of food at a great price. I am a big guy and could only eat half of my $8 burrito. It is not normal TexMex but really good. It is not fine dining so don't expect that. It is like being invited into their home and Rufi(na?) is back in the kitchen cooking.“
“Awesome customer service! They didn’t have one of the items I ordered in bulk on Uber Eats at the Downtown location, but they had it at their other location, so they had someone from that location deliver it themselves. I really appreciate y’all!“
“The reviews are correct! The food is exceptional! The service at the counter was friendly. The cook... grumpy and made some grumblings about the tweaking of the order placed but dang can he cook!!! Go for the food!It is seasoned well, tender, and the flavors come together like an explosion. The bread is soft and doesn't overtake the sandwich like some places. So many options for variety. Find what suits you best. I like east coast style Philly sandwiches with all the fixings. The milkshake was thick and made from real Blue Bell Ice cream so you know it was the best! There is a full service bar on the premises of this food truck court.Youll find well lit outdoor seating for a very large crowd. Wish they had some heaters for these cooler nights but it's a comfortable atmosphere. The bathrooms are modern and well kept.I recommend a stop for some great food!“
“We absolutely love the Waco Tx 6th st location. Drew always remembers our likes and dislikes. Especially my sensitivity to sugar( not diabetic, other health issues). There are not enough stars for the crew and all the yummiest treats we get almost daily.???????????????The HlavenkasDietary restrictions: Lots of sugar free options. Staff is very knowledgeable about sugars and carbs.“
“Wonderful experience. Our server, Jesus, was personable and helped make for a great dining experience. When I asked him about the drinks, he brought the bartender, Dominic, to our table. We had an old fashioned, peach margarita, and Mexican martini. These were some of the best drinks we have had. All of the flavors were perfectly balanced. These were top quality cocktails. The food was excellent as well. Well seasoned, cooked perfectly, and great blend of flavors. My family would definitely come back next time we are in Waco and I would recommend this as a restaurant to try.“
“I went with some family that was in town and a few business associates. We ate as well as had a few drinks. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the service was top notch. The cooks even came out to greet us and ask how the food was. Miguel and Zack were awesome!!! Can't wait to try a different meal from those two cooks!“
“I at least have to go to Dutch brothers once or twice a week. It’s always friendly service and great tasting coffee and the pastries are delicious. One of my favorite are granola bars, and one of my favorite drinks. Is the vanilla freeze with the soft top you could never go wrong. Thanks Dutch brothers and keep the good work out.“
“After a business trip to Fort Worth concluded, on the way back home to Austin, I decided to stay the night in Waco. While there, I enjoyed a delicious meal in this hidden gem, 1424 Bistro, fit for a romantic evening for any couple. The service was exceptional and timed perfectly. Anissa, the bartender was very professional with her recommendations, and I was immensely impressed by her knowledge of running any sector of a restaurant. My selections for the evening included several new special appetizers and a Chef's Special Entrée which paired perfectly with a Pinot Noir from 1424's new Wine Menu.I very much enjoyed the traditional Greek selections for appetizers which were the grape leaf wrapped Dolmades served with a delicious Tzatziki sauce and the Kasseri Cheese served flambé style at table. Also, I enjoyed several of the Fried cheese portions as a side. The Bone-in Pork chop was cooked perfectly and adequately balanced with the delicious serving of garlic mashed potatoes and mixed vegetable medley. For dessert, I enjoyed a Vanilla Crème Brûlée that was fired perfectly to form a crisp and sweetened crust and garnished deliciously with blueberries and strawberries. To finish, the bartender and owner got creative on the spot with a Tiramisu Martini and let me try this as it is a newly developed bar drink. The atmosphere was eclectic and definitely a vibe to be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates delicious food that is reasonably priced and expertly prepared with an attention to detail that was unexpected, but a delight to experience. Live music, as I understand, is an added bonus for an enjoyable night.I must say, I will be bringing my girlfriend back to this perfect spot for a lovely evening away from the big city.“
“(Ryan Reynolds voiceover) The vibe is WACO's funnest place to dine! We ended up at the Blasian Asian after touring the entire place! Mike warmly greeted us! Garlic fried rice. Good! Chicken the perfect choice of protein. The Blasian looked so good that we got multiple orders. Level 3 spice. Skewered meats were delish! Noodles the perfect level of hotness! Great fuel for long hours of study, hitting the gym, and chatting up the ladies. Paired perfectly with Coca Cola! mmhmm! Would order everything again! Service was great, but the food was a pinch slow! Thankfully, we had all the necessary time to enjoy a nice meal! Thanks again, Mike! Xie xie! Woohoo!“
“I’m a food snob, so I’m always judging pretty harshly. For me, this is one of the best Thai restaurants, and perhaps Asian restaurants in general, that I’ve been to. I haven’t had one bad thing in the menu. On top of that, the owners are really genuine people. Highly recommend them at both locations.“
“Good vibesVegetarian options: It was all great stuff we enjoyed it I will say I wish they labeled the food or told us what was what cause I don’t like eating lamb because it messes with my stomach but I ate half the gyro and before realizing it had meat on it I was a little shocked cause I don’t eat meat“
“Pizza. Wings. Beer. And salads lol local craft beer as well as regional and your typical domestics. Slices of pizza are pretty large, a whole pizza comes in 2 sizes and can feed 3 adults (14")or 5 adults (20").Location is incredible. On the ride, a deck that overhangs the river....absolutely fabulous location ? you're almost a fool to NOT come here!“
“I really wanted the Tomato Soup but they weren't serving it because its too hot outside?? I get it, its ok??? The boss was good & super cheesy. I'm picky about mac & theirs was fresh, hot, & pretty good?? Lemonade was also good. I liked it more than the strawberry one?“
“Came in with my bestie and SIX kids all under 10 years old. Everyone was very kind and accommodating despite the fact our rugrats were bouncing off the walls. Very affordable (seriously, 5.99 for a kids meal that come in a little car?! Love it!) I will definitely stop again next time I’m in Waco! “
