Poppa Bear Boba has truly mastered the art of blending flavors and creating a drink that's both visually stunning and incredibly delicious!! 10/10“
“A place I visit regularly.Drinks: the coffee is roasted on the premises and either sold in bags or as drinks. There is a good variety of drinks with pour-overs, loose leaf teas, matcha and chai. I recommend the Black Rooster or the White Fredo. The prices are a bit high but keep in mind that things there are usually artisan, home made, and they have to cover costs.Atmosphere: very calm. It is a place where you can chill for hours whether indoors or outdoors under the shade. The ambient music provides good background noise.Seating: several booths with outlets for charging as well as chairs and tables.WiFi: Excellent. Enough said.Misc: the staff is very courteous and will treat you professionally. The restrooms are nice and clean. They also sell coffee presses, merch and chocolates. Once you’re done with the coffee you have a whole community to explore!“
“Super fun place. I live in blue political territory so I had to visit the Waco store after visiting the Waco Zoo. I love supporting Veteran owned businesses.I wanted to support the company so I bought a cap and sweatshirt with my coffee and coffee cake. It came to just under $100.They are avid gun lovers here so if that bothers you, perhaps think twice about going. However, I'm a liberal from CA who opposed automated weapons but loves the hunting culture. I was welcomed like family. Good people and great coffee!I'll be back!“
“Beautiful location with lots of seating. Very popular especially on rainy days. The staff is incredibly friendly and the coffee is excellent! In the morning before noon there’s extra seating in the building next-door before the bar opens. In the afternoon you can enjoy a brew over in the second building if you prefer.“
“Go here each week as it is located near an office I visit regularly. Service always friendly and efficient. Reasonable prices. All kinds of coffee. Tea too. Coffee is full-flavored. Tasty lattes. Good breakfast tacos too. Nice atmosphere, although I have always ordered to go.“
“Would say that this is my favorite coffee shop in Waco right now. Coffee is smooth, everyone was so kind, and I loved the atmosphere. Art was displayed and loved that it wasn't super packed that you had to fight for a spot to sit. Will be back again.“
“Beautiful place with solid coffee. My husband and I were here just after 7 am on a Tuesday and walked right up to the counter. Wait staff was polite and our order came out quickly. I took a chance on the 1905 latte. I don’t like particularly sweet coffee drinks so I asked for two pumps instead of the standard four and it was a win. The marshmallow gave the caramel a nice, creamy edge. Loved it. Sat and enjoyed the view of the back patio as the sun was coming up. Lovely.“
“The coffee and Sammy were good, but the rest...eh. Limited parking and baristas that just stand around. I was new there and mentioned that and placed my order. I was told it would be "right out". I kept checking the end of the counter or waiting on them to bring it to my table. After waiting for what seemed like forever, I went back to the counter to check the status and it had been sitting on the middle of the counter with some other drink orders. Didn't know how long it actually sat there!“
“This bar is gorgeous, I adore the atmosphere and the drinks are beautifully made. However the price was higher than I expected, not an issue but realistically I probably won’t be able to go here very often. Was a nice experience to try, though ✨“
“First time here had hot coffee lattes (they could have been hotter for sure. Unique decor and went all out decorating, cozy chairs! In evening NYE fantastic bar and bartenders right on point! They have a fabulous rooftop area too! Very welcoming and so much fun! Definitely will be back!“
“Very good açaí bowls and smoothies. It is good for a sit down and relax meal/drink. Service is friendly and prices are good. Lots of vegan and gluten free options. The first time I went, my coffee order was unfortunately wrong and I didn’t get the extra add on I wanted on my açaí. Regardless, I have come back several times and would recommend!“
“Very rustic coffee shop with lots of nooks and crannies for sitting and hanging out. The atmosphere is very inviting and fun. The service was nice and the coffee was good. A worth while stop for those passing through and excellent choice for those looking for a place to chill.“
“Harvest is my favorite place to eat in Waco! They have SO MANY gluten free and dairy free options and the food is always so delicious and fresh and high quality. I’m obsessed with this place and I come here every time I am in Waco. The atmosphere is so cute with plants everywhere. The staff is so sweet and friendly. 1000/10 recommend ???Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free and vegan options!!“
“Literally go here multiple times a week. Always busy, but never have to wait long for my fresh brewed iced tea! They have gallons of different tea flavors that you can have free samples of before you buy. I usually get Ryan Palmer, Sweet Georgia Peach, and the Sweet Raspberry.Another awesome thing is from 2-4 is 50% off so you can literally get an XL Tea for $2 or less. They also use the premium ice and cane sugar with all the sweet teas. This could also be a great snack stop when exiting the highway, they have tons of healthy snacks, coolers, yetis, and clean bathrooms. The staff is always friendly and helpful! They also have a drive through.??“
“This is a cute little cafe! All of the food is delicious. I especially love the muffins and the baked oatmeal! The only minor issue is that the coffee had an odd aftertaste to it. It wasn't bad necessarily, just not as good as everything else I've had from here. I'm not sure if it was just a one-time thing, or maybe it's just where they get their coffee from, but this won't keep me from coming back for the yummy food.Vegetarian options: They have milk alternatives and vegetarian options“
“I love everything about this place! So glad I found it while on my visit. I love the music they play, it’s instrumental. It’s relaxing, it gets you in the chill mood, it’s perfect when you are reading/working but you can also just sing along in your head.I ordered an Iced Matcha with Vanilla syrup and you can taste the quality of the matcha. It was so so good! They also have some adult drink — aka alcoholic drinks! So you can work/study while sipping on your relaxing wine, or purely just have your glass of wine in a chill moment not always having loud music.Staff was nice and friendly, plenty of seating, parking were ample, across Hotel 1928. The bathroom was clean! I’m so glad I went to this place, this would be my go-to spot when I visit Waco again.“
“I had a wonderful experience at this establishment. On two separate occasions, I spoke to the person taking my order and detailed my dietary requirements of not having any type of cross contamination with meat. On one occasion, the person taking my order made it clear that he would cook the meal separate, in its own pan, to ensure that no meat on the grill would cross contaminate with my eggs. On the second occasion, one of the managerial staff, spoke up and assured me that there wouldn’t be any issues with that. They take customer satisfaction very seriously, and it is seriously appreciated. Great place, would recommend to friend and family!Dietary restrictions: Place has vegetarian options and take cross contamination very seriously.“
“I feel a calm when I walk into the atmosphere of this coffee place with its soft pinks, in cups and decore all around and the bold green wall that makes you feel your in nature. Several seating areas to get business done or be with friend and talk it out. Very comfortable. The staff are friendly. Asking how the customer is doing. Its all wonderful. Variety of drinks and a bite to eat. Let's not forget about those cute stickers at the counter. Very nice ? ? ? ?“
“I did not get any food but the atmosphere is adorable! The coffee is amazingly delicious and smooth. The employees seem to be very helpful and kind. The pumpkin spice latte iced, es the best one I've ever tasted! I Will he going back for more of these, before the season is over.“
“We absolutely love the Waco Tx 6th st location. Drew always remembers our likes and dislikes. Especially my sensitivity to sugar( not diabetic, other health issues). There are not enough stars for the crew and all the yummiest treats we get almost daily.???????????????The HlavenkasDietary restrictions: Lots of sugar free options. Staff is very knowledgeable about sugars and carbs.“
“Fantastic tea. My wife had a hot Vanilla Chai with milk and I had a hot Matcha Latte. Both were absolutely delicious. The gentleman taking orders was very friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell they care deeply for what they do. Highly recommend!“
“I would probably rate 4.5 but it's worth rounding up because we really love the drinks here. A few favs: Oolong Milk Tea, Kung Fu Milk Tea, Taro Slush (I like to get 70% sweetness because it's pretty sweet, and still sweet with the reduction), Mango Snow (70% sweet), Wintermelon Tea, all drinks with regular boba, though there are lots of jellies to choose from including a brown sugar boba which is also yummy. The service is hit or miss depending on who's behind the counter. Never overtly rude, just not always the friendliest. It's fine; we're not going for the service, though a friendly smile or "Thanks for coming!" wouldn't hurt. The aesthetic is like a typical bubble tea joint. My toddler loves the lucky cat whenever we visit. There are a few places to sit but we rarely see people hanging out in there. Would probably be a good place to study if you don't want distractions. My family is thrilled Kung Fu is in Waco after years of patronizing them in College Station, Austin, and Houston. Hope they're flooded with business and are able to stick around for a long time! Also, would love if they started a loyalty program.“
“Immediate takeaway - the absolute most creative coffee stand. It's in a vintage elevator! Simple, elegant, quirky, one-barista Cafe. Great drink selection for the size and resources available. The barista seemed to be a bit distant, not the warmest, but, may have been me. Drinks were well timed, but the dirty chai I got was not sweet at all, surprisingly. Not the worst, just unexpected for the flavor. Overall, a great little place in a historic building with cool vibes and good brews.“
“The tea house is a hidden gem, in that it quietly resides inside the Homestead Gristmil. It's a fun and unique place to enjoy a cup of tea with a friend. A great rendezvous point. And, if you want to enjoy a cup of tea next to an old working water-wheel-powered mill, this is the place. Fun.“
“Good vibesVegetarian options: It was all great stuff we enjoyed it I will say I wish they labeled the food or told us what was what cause I don’t like eating lamb because it messes with my stomach but I ate half the gyro and before realizing it had meat on it I was a little shocked cause I don’t eat meat“
“I saw there was a long line and lead me to believe that this was the line to believe in and I wasn't mistaken. The line went very fast and it was worth it. When it was my time, I asked the cashier if the tea was sweet sweet and she assured me it was, and I wasn't disappointed. You are also given your tea in a glass mason jar with a reusable straw, and I think that is great. Now I have a glass that I can reuse. They also have tee shirts, but I feel like I would be cheating on my Virginia roots, so I did not take a picture or purchase one. I know I am not the only one who has loyalty to a state.“
“The definition of a hidden gem at the back of the building on the southwest corner of 6th and Franklin. The bar itself operates out of the original elevator shaft. Why is that important? There's one machine and one attendant, so your drink will not be rushed. Drop in and enjoy.“
“Visiting Magnolia Silos and among the slew of food trucks I decided on this one. The Demo Day Dog with Dr. Pepper chili, cheese and crisp onions with Fritos. It's a texas size hot dog. When they hand you this creation it sure does have some weight to it. It's a good looking dog and was really good. Liked the crisp onions for that good crunchy texture I like.“
“Bitty and beaus is a great place to be!! Best staff in the world! Such a welcoming and lively atmosphere full of love and laughter it’s not just a coffee shop, they also play games and sing songs for the customers sometimes! If you’re in town and need a coffee fix Olivia at bitty and beaus would be happy to make your drink for you!“
