“What an awesome find!! Love the authentic atmosphere. They are genuine locals with license plates in the floor to patch the holes! Stop by and get a beer. Nothing to eat here, so take care of that before or after. Local bands play on weekends, looking forward to making it for that.“

“Slovaceks has decent baked goods. Sausage is good. Beware of brisket (ask for it to be trimmed well of fat). Good selection of highway rest stop commercial items of many types. Good place to stop before hitting the Waco area if you are Southbound on I-35.“

“We ate at Waco Waffle today. They had a lot of business but still got everyone in and with their food in an impressively timely manner. We actually had a small medical issue with our son and the owner was so helpful, wise, and kind. The food was really good but the people there are even better. 5 stars all the way. Thank you. (and our granddaughter loved watching the water wheel at the big window)“

“The Czech Stop in West, Texas, is an absolute legend, and making a pit stop here is an unnegotiable rule every single time we drive by. No matter how busy it gets, we always pull off the highway to stock up on their famous kolaches and klobasneks.
The food is consistently amazing. The dough is soft, sweet, and baked to perfection, and the fillings—from classic prune and poppy seed to savory sausage, jalapeno, and cheese—are top-notch. It is fast, delicious, and easily one of the best roadside stops in Texas. You simply cannot drive past without grabbing a box or two for the road.“
