“This place is great! I would definitely recommend this place to people visiting Waco. The staff was very friendly and didn’t make us feel weird for asking for certain accommodations on our food. They were also extremely patient! We were looking at the menu for awhile, there’s so much to choose from. We ended up ordering the Chile Relleno Burrito, a Carne Asada Taco, and Chile Verde Fries with the meat on the side. We also ordered the hot carrots, guacamole, and Salsa Fresco.“

“I hate to say anything negative because the staff are excellent. Seen some faces in there for a long time so there isn't a lot of turn over - so it's a good place to work.The interior unfortunately makes me think of old, cafeteria style restaurants.The food is fair. Not outstanding - but I also have nostalgia goggles because I grew up in a family that went to a Pancho's Mexican Buffet for every celebration and the food reminds me of it. So if you want some simple Tex-Mex I would recommend it.

Wheelchair accessibility: I feel the tables would fairly suit someone in a wheelchair -- but tables are fairly close together! So maybe call ahead so they can ensure a proper space in the dining area.“

It's awesome, has white cheese and onions mixed with eggs ,a slice of ham and potatoes, if you don't know what it's ask YouTube. You can add what you want on it, but the way the make it taste so good! It use to be in the menu, i think now you have to ask for it, but they will make it.“

“I live just outside of Waco and Cafe Homestead is hands down the best restaurant in the Waco area in my opinion! High quality food made from recipes that all taste like something, your grandma would make for a special occasion. Excellent, friendly service as well. “We have been to Abuelita’s many times and will continue to go back. The food is so good and the service is excellent! I love the Popular Platter and usually have that, we are headed there shortly and I’m thinking I might try something different this time. I do order the frozen blue margarita every time I eat there, except during lunch. My husband really likes the atmosphere as the music is not blaring and we can talk with friends while we eat. My husband usually has the Chile relleno plate along with a friend of ours. If you haven’t been there give it a try I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.“

Great location, but very disappointed in service and food. after waiting a while to be seated in the half empty restaurant, we waited an hour for our food, and it was mostly terrible.
