On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina is a family-friendly spot with attentive service. Cal, the server, went above and beyond, even entertaining a baby. A long-time tradition for one couple, the restaurant always takes great care of them. However, a first-time visitor had mixed feelings - salty soup, not-so-fresh toppings, hard rice, and an off-tasting margarita. The service was lacking, with a messy drink and excuses for errors. A disappointing experience for a hopeful lunch outing.
