About Maximo

Maximo is a fantastic restaurant with a great patio that stays cool and airy. The service is quick and attentive, with delicious food and drinks. The snapper special, power bowl, and taco plate with interchangeable tacos were highlights. The sides are on the smaller side but tasty, especially the fresh fruit with chamay and tajin. The ribs may not be fall-off-the-bone but are perfect for carnivores. The chips & guac are a good start, and the cocktails were generous and tasty. The Al pastor and barbacoa tacos were bigger than usual, with quality tortillas and flavorful meat. The lentils were a delicious substitute for refried beans. The atmosphere is casual and cool, with great music and a beautiful patio. Street parking can be a challenge, but it's worth a short walk to visit Maximo in Rice Village.
