“I am so glad I stopped in to eat. I had the gator tail and the meat pie for lunch. I've eaten a lot of both and this place nailed it. The gator was so tender and the meat pies were fresh and tasty. I'll definitely make this my go to for cajun and seafood. Tiffany and Charlie are great. Extremely friendly atmosphere and great service“

“I mean, seriously, my rating says it all. Five stars across the board! Some of the best hometown food you can get anywhere, and it's a buffet at that. I mean, you're going to go home sick, sick because you've eaten so much darn good food. And that bread pudding makes you seriously want to just steal it all. It makes you want to act crazy, it's like crack. This place is a treasure, an icon for East Texas. The food is always hot, always delicious, and homemade. The customer base ranges from blue-collar workers to the highest business people you can think of.“

“I have always liked Cowboy Chicken, and I always get the rotisserie chicken. This time, they had a picture of their Nashville hot chicken sandwich up on the menu, and it looked delicious. I got it, and the twice baked potato, and Mac and cheese. The sandwich was delicious, the potatoes were kinda sad, nothing special, Mac and cheese was good. Wife and son got chicken tenders, they were not impressed by them at all, and they were small.“

“We already like to come to the Cotton Patch as the food is pretty good. However, we decided to be adventurous and go on a Saturday night for their steak special. This isn't a steak house, so we weren't expecting much. However, lately, most of the steakhouses aren't much to brag about either. We found out this is one of Longview's best kept secrets! The steak was tender and flavorful. The salad was as pretty as it was tasty, and the baked potatoe was perfect! I haven't had such a good baked potatoe in years! Much better than what we've been getting at the local steakhouses. Service was great! (We had Lucas as our server) It was quicker, and quieter than going to any of the steakhouses around here. It all was so good that we tried the butter cake desert. It was good, but I think we will try the peach cobbler next time. My husband asked me if this was going to be our new Saturday night thing as we enjoyed it so much. I think it just might! Excuse the photos, I got my half of the potatoe and cut the onions up before I took the pictures.Parking: There's parking in the front as well as in the back. My husband likes to park in the front as it's closer to the door, while I park in the back. I do this as it's less crowded with a lesser chance of getting a ding on my door from others. It's not that much of a walk to the front door.“
