“I enjoy the food each time I go but the only problem I have over and over is the smell of fabuloso, it is very overpowering that it blocks the smell of delicious authentic Mexican food. Other restaurants use unscented cleaning solution. I mean honestly, in the middle of eating my meal and a table next to me is getting cleaned and they spray that stuff. Ugh. No bueno. Doesn’t matter what time of the day I can go, the mini walk in, it’s like a big whiff. 🤢“

“Great little place for Mexican food. I got the Coctel de Camarone (shrimp cocktail) and it was loaded with shrimp and avocado. My dinner companion got the Camarones a la Mexicana. While it was delicious, there were only 6 Jumbo shrimp. The rice was cooked perfectly. The refried beans were okay. The waitress was friendly but you need to know a little Spanish to order. No big deal, just be aware. They also had horchata, tamarindo, and jamaica agua frescas. The tamarindo was just the right amount of sweet and tart. If we are in the area we would consider going back.“

“La Calle Doce is a gem! We went for Friday lunch and loved everything—the cozy, beautifully maintained old house, peaceful vibe, and excellent service. I had the lunch special with fish soup and a ceviche tostada, and my husband had the salmon salad. Both were incredible, and the spicy ranch waters were a fun bonus. Some of the best food I’ve had in Dallas—can’t wait to go back!“

“A proper street food place like the ones in my hometown.
Just tried the burger (yes, burgers are not the same in a street stall in my hometown), the torta and hot dog. Going back to try tacos al vapor and guisados.
I distrust restaurants with an extensive menu. This one is not.
Also, I think is unfair to give a one star review because it was closed by the time you got there. This is a mom and pop business, and they are working very hard. If you coming from far, give them a phone call just to confirm business hours.“

“Came in on a Sunday morning at 10am and they were already opened and the food smelled so good!
We had a big order of breakfast tacos.
We got papas con huevo y chorizo con huevo all on corn tortillas.
Tortillas were soft and delicious.
