From the moment Abuelo greeted and seated us, our experience was truly five-star. Authenticity like this is rare—both in the service and the food. The restaurant was spotless, the service was exceptional, and the prices were more than reasonable. Most importantly, the food was absolutely amazing!

My wife and I have been coming here from time to time, and unfortunately this visit was pretty disappointing. We ordered the family packs, which included 2-liter drinks, and we specifically wanted Coke Zero. They didn’t have Coke Zero available in the 2-liter bottles, which I understand can happen. What I didn’t appreciate was how the situation was handled.

I asked if we could substitute the 2-liters for a few of the smaller Coke Zero bottles they had available. Considering that we had purchased multiple family specials and were already paying a good amount, I felt that asking for 2–3 smaller bottles as a substitute was more than reasonable. Instead, I was met with an attitude and felt like I was being treated as if I was asking for something unreasonable. Another employee eventually stepped in and allowed the substitution.

The problem is that the substitution still felt like a bad deal. We were essentially supposed to receive around 4 liters of soda with what we ordered, but ended up with only a couple of much smaller bottles. At that point, it felt like we were paying for something we weren’t actually receiving.

I’m not upset that they were out of Coke Zero. Things run out. What bothered me was the customer service, the attitude, and the lack of a reasonable effort to make the situation right. We’ve enjoyed coming here before, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. Hopefully management can take this as constructive feedback because good food is one thing, but good customer service matters too.“
