“I was in Dallas on business, staying at the Westin a few blocks away. It was my last night, I was tired, had an early flight in the morning, and just wanted a quick meal to take back to the room. A quick search showed this fried catfish spot nearby… so yeah, say less. I walked in expecting a basic neighborhood carry-out, but instead was greeted with some of the best service I’ve had in a while which was totally unexpected. It wasn’t fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, and had good music playing. It was a good vibe so decided to eat in at the bar. I didn’t catch her name but the bartender was so nice and kindly walked me through the menu. I ordered a glass of wine and the 2-piece fillet basket. Good Lord, that fish was HOT and delicious! And when I say “fillet,” I mean a full piece of fish not broken up little scraps. Two big pieces were definitely more than enough, but it was so good I ate every bite. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip and will be telling my Dallas office this is the spot! Thanks for the great experience and wishing you all the best in your new location!”

My wife and I have been coming here from time to time, and unfortunately this visit was pretty disappointing. We ordered the family packs, which included 2-liter drinks, and we specifically wanted Coke Zero. They didn’t have Coke Zero available in the 2-liter bottles, which I understand can happen. What I didn’t appreciate was how the situation was handled.

I asked if we could substitute the 2-liters for a few of the smaller Coke Zero bottles they had available. Considering that we had purchased multiple family specials and were already paying a good amount, I felt that asking for 2–3 smaller bottles as a substitute was more than reasonable. Instead, I was met with an attitude and felt like I was being treated as if I was asking for something unreasonable. Another employee eventually stepped in and allowed the substitution.

The problem is that the substitution still felt like a bad deal. We were essentially supposed to receive around 4 liters of soda with what we ordered, but ended up with only a couple of much smaller bottles. At that point, it felt like we were paying for something we weren’t actually receiving.

I’m not upset that they were out of Coke Zero. Things run out. What bothered me was the customer service, the attitude, and the lack of a reasonable effort to make the situation right. We’ve enjoyed coming here before, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. Hopefully management can take this as constructive feedback because good food is one thing, but good customer service matters too.”

“No complaints whatsoever its really good, the size of that fish is absolutely worth the price. We ordered the seafood sampler, out of the fried oysters but they added more shrimp. Very good food, its nice and clean and the folks are very polite.

“IGNORE all the animals claiming this bar is racist. NOT, they're not. If you come in yelling loud and annoying you're gone regardless of skin color. This is a classic Texas dive bar with lot's of history, awesome locals and great vibe. My go to spot for the next 6 months while I'm at work!”

“I had not been to Dairy Queen in years. I must say a welcome surprise. The menu offered new and different food choices. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak sandwich and it was fantastic. The service at the Red Oak location off Orvilla Rd and 35 access rd was fantastic. We were with treated with good southern hospitality. Tracie the manager made us feel welcomed and brought our food to us at the table. Just plain good customer service. Very rare for a fast food place. We dined in and will definitely go back.
