“My son and I came by after his baseball tournament to try The Velvet Taco and it did not disappoint! We were so impressed, the service was great and the food was amazing. The protein bowl was delicious, and my son was obsessed with the bacon burger taco. We will definitely be stopping here again sometime on our way home !!“

“4/19/25. The general manager, Ish, is a treasure! I have never seen a manager more engaged with the customers and his staff. He seated us and took our drink order and stopped by several times to check on us. You could tell how much he is loved by all the customers greeting him with hugs. He is always impeccably dressed and his signature hair is fabulous. We were seated by the bar and I’ve never seen a more efficient group behind the bar. The bartender was making multiple drinks from the extensive drink menu with ease. His bar back was on top of it as well. We only wish we were closer (we’re north of Denton) to go more often instead of just when the Dallas Stars are playing.“

“Great food at the new location at Cypress Waters. Terrific hospitality- we enjoyed meeting Miriam herself as she came to greet us. Food is mild but flavorful. My favorite is the pork belly taco I got on the sampler plate. My husband enjoyed the short rib tacos as well. Ample portions as well.“

Their crunchy tacos were a highlight when we visited them and they have one of the biggest menus among vegan restaurants in the metroplex while still staying within the same food category. That means you will have plenty of options when it comes to vegan mexican themed food!“

“Food is absolutely delicious, I have to add that portions sizes are big where you will feel satiated after you are done eating, also, they are not stingy with the ingredients, I ordered an spaghetti with shrimp and received a plate FULL of shrimp, I have visited other restaurants and asked for the same and they serve you literally 5-6 shrimps, but not here, 5 out of 5 definitely recommend!“

“First time visiting this location and I will definitely be back. My server Itza was amazing! She was attentive and never seemed bothered when I requested anything. I wish more servers were like her. I will be requesting her to be my server next time for sure. Beautiful location, food was great and atmosphere is what you'd expect.“

“The atmosphere was like a cozy abuelita’s home, very inviting. The chips and salsa were delicious BUT the salsa was atomic HOT so I couldn’t enjoy much of it because of that reason. The service was okay because the food took forever to get to our table. However, the young waitress was very attentive in checking in if we needed anything and kept refilling our coffee’s. The food was pretty bland but okay.“

“Everything on this plate was a 10/10! The fajitas were perfectly charred with plenty of grilled onions and peppers, and that sauce on top added the perfect kick. You can tell the refried beans and Spanish rice are authentic not just side thoughts. The corn tortillas were warm and held everything together perfectly. If you're looking for a solid, flavorful meal that actually fills you up, this is the spot“
