“Very delicious food! I had the fall off the bone oxtails! I meannnn. Delicious. I would call ahead to make sure they have them the day you’re going to get them. I also had the greens and the yams. Everything was literally the BEST! Don’t forget to try the pineapple lemonade. And shout out to Mr. J and his wife. They were so kind and welcoming. The spot had a home vibe with great music and lights. It was chill and not too loud. I’m adding this to my faves.“

“Stopped in twice of the course of a week, always had a seat available, always someone upfront to serve you. Staffing over lunch can be a little lite for the crowd size so your service may lag a little. Having said that the food and drinks are both top notch, and taste as good as they look.“

I went on a Thursday night, the vibes were just right and the drinks i had were well made! There was also water on tap at the other bar (mmhmm) in the back with some extra seating too.“

“It’s really good a little spicy , just a kick but the taste is delicious!!! Don’t like the fact there’s no free parking . First time I tried it got charged $10 more just for 5 min after the hr . Other than that it’s good. First time took like an hour to be served , this time about 20 min .“

“Stumbled across their stand at The Pearl Farmers Market & oh my gosh the chorizo tacos were amazing!! I also bought a 1/2 dozen of tamales (which my hubby devoured). Definitely will be a reoccurring customer“

“This place incredible. We stumbled upon it when the restaurant we were planning on going to had a 3 hour wait. I’m so glad we didn’t get into our first choice, this place was perfect. The best corn and the best coleslaw I’ve ever had in my life. Brisket was amazing, too. We ended up staying for quite a while to listen to the blues trio that was playing outside. They were the real deal, very talented dudes. This place is my favorite thing we’ve done on our entire trip. 10/10, no notes.“

“Burger and fries weren't seasoned. Food didn't taste good. The onion rings were all soggy and only half were battered everything else fell off, I guess when frying them. I placed an order to go and specifically told the register we wanted the food at the same time. We had to wait another 15 minutes or more for the order to go. Not worth what we paid for.“

“Wow I don’t know why this place has such bad reviews. I come here regularly with my mom and nephew and we’re always pleased with our family order! This place beats places Bill Millers or Canes any day; there’s actually flavor in the chicken! Fries are good, they always give more than enough. Macaroni is okay but still tasty, and the gallon of tea is yummy. I wish they were more available around SA! Also, don’t forget to grab a brownie!!“

“Came here with my wife and I to have a nice meal turned out to be a very great experience. Everything had flavor green beans, potato, and steak was delicious. My wife had the pork ribs which were delicious. She loved them. Everyone was happy. Oh, not to mention that famous large chocolate chip cookie, smothered, a ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce.“

“I got the Pooh Bear sandwich and it was delicious. I’m already thinking about the next time I can get one. This place is very cozy and homey. The service was incredible . Jeremiah customer service was excellent. He was kind and welcoming. And you could tell he loves what he does. I can not wait to come back and get another Pooh bear. Also the coffee he serves there is spectacular. 10/10“
