“I dont think I have ever given a complete 5 across the board, but Barrel House deserves it. The place was crowded and I was alone. No vacant table so I sat at the bar.
I ordered the chicken fried steak, garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli and margarita.
I can not remember ordering a margarita that wasn't poured out of a plastic jug.
Tonite I got a true margarita made with individual additions.
The chicken fried steak was as tender as I have ever eaten, could cut it with my fork.
Potatoes were creamer and broccoli was steamed. The white gravy was perfect.
I sat beside a local gentleman named Ed.
Carried on a conversation like we had known each other for years. Bartender 1 and bartender 2, both super nice.
With my meal, 2 margaritas, I paid for Ed's soup to go and his 2 beer.
My tab was 35.60
I could not have asked for anymore“
