We’ve had a home in Alta for decades so we only go to the bar. Plenty of room to sit. Always a warm fire place going. Excellent beers. The nachos used to be better.Walkability: Nothing closer to the lifts than this place.
Skied Alta on a beautiful day early in the new year, 2024. Wanted a cocktail afterward. As the cafes only serve beer, I went to the saloon at The Goldminer’s Daughter. After the bartender made my drink and I handed over my credit card, he asked me if I was a hotel guest. I said no, assuming he was only asking regarding whether he should charge a room for payment. He then informed me that the saloon is only open to guests. I was unable to buy the drink that he’d put in front...
This was a great experience from start to finish. Friendly and very helpful checkin that allowed me to hit slopes before room opened up. Ease of making bfast and dinner reservations. Delicious and wide range of menu options. Location couldn’t be more convenient.
