I stopped in during a recent trip and took the best advice I've received while traveling. It was suggested that we take Burr Trail Road instead of the highway. I was told it would lengthen our trip which was true but the trail didn't disappoint us one bit. The views were well worth the extra time it took us to get to Canyonland to watch the sunset later that day. My cousin and I both agree, you deserve 5 Stars for the suggestion. Best advice EVER!! I Love the little knife I picked up at your shop too!! ?

5 stars because… great community spot with tons of local (and high quality) artwork. The young man behind the counter made great suggestions and made me a sandwich. Coming from the south, it made me feel “down home” with style. New ownership is getting things off the ground and navigating staff shortages, so enjoy your wait and be well.

Dear lord the food here is so delicious. Not even taking into account that post-adventure hunger that make anything delicious: the food here is just absolutely fantastic.Friendly staff & hand pies to die for make this a must-stop restaurant on any trip running through Boulder.

OMG! My wife and I decided to drive the Burr Trail and we found this amazing spot in Boulder right at the start of the trail. Incredible food with a personable wait staff. If you're in the area and looking for a great breakfast or lunch, this is the place!

Lovely spot! Great breakfast and tons of art to enjoy. Barista made my latte exactly as ordered. Unexpected delight in such a small town.

The homemade baked goods were amazing! Be sure to try the raspberry coffee cake if available. And the coffee was decent too after a tough morning drive. You must stop here if you are passing through.

Big generous sandwiches with fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and beautiful art. I know where I’m stopping whenever I’m in Boulder!

There's not a lot of options between Torrey and Bryce in March. We planned to get coffee and a snack, but there were some people around (locals?) who seemed put off by our presence. Maybe I imagined it. We just got coffee. My husband thought he ordered a blended coffee, but they gave him a latte or something. It was still good, and we refused to let them waste it. Also, I am a dog owner, and I am fine with dogs in coffee shops, but not behind the counter....

We arrived a few minutes after they had closed but the barista happily said she would make us coffee and did. It was some of the best coffee we have had hands down. Don’t pass this place by and miss out.

Good coffe, good smoothie and very good muffins. Very kind the guy working there, the girl was not friendly at all but no problems, we go there for a quick stop and grab something

Even a small town in the middle of nowhere deserves a community gathering spot and Burr Trail Outpost admirably serves that role for Boulder. This friendly, casual spot is where we stopped for fresh-baked treats and coffee for breakfast and hefty sandwiches for lunch on our exploration of this rewarding area. Unexpected, however, was the fine collection of work for sale by local artists and artisans, everything from prints of the area, greeting cards, even jewelry. I was so taken with this unexpected little spot that I picked up a reasonably priced baseball cap that said Burr Trail Outpost and had a nice canyon country design. I sure wouldn't have worn a cap advertising a place that I didn't like and I wore this one for the rest of our 3,500-mile road trip to the five Utah National Parks from Seattle. Lastly, definitely make sure to explore the historic Burr Trail Road which provided a day's worth of prime Utah scenery yet was sparsely traveled with few visitors.

We stopped for a mid morning breakfast on our drive from Torrey to Bryce. It's a bit like a coffee /bakery shop you would find in a big city but with much more personality and creative food options. You order at the counter and sit inside or outside. There were numerous fresh bakery items, breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, yogurt options, some casserole type choices, various teas, coffee etc. The menu was eclectic and fresh. I had a slice of veggie quiche with mushrooms, tomatoes, cheese, and basil. It was made with a nice light crust and excellent. The proprietor and her son were taking the orders and preparing. It was a pretty smooth operation. There were some very nice crafts made by local artists that were for sale in the shop. I was pretty impressed with this little place.

This is the best coffeeshop on 12, hands down. We stopped here on our way down through and grabbed some coffees and breakfast sandwiches. Barista was super friendly and made excellent espresso.
