5 Best Tex-Mex Restaurants near Bountiful

“I came here for the first time today, on a Taco Tuesday. I was the only person in line, so chatted with one of the employees for a minute about which tacos he recommended. I ended up getting 3 tacos, one chicken, one pork, one brisket. Service was quick, and everything on the tacos was clearly very fresh.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's exactly what the name says - all the meats were smoked, and in a taco. This is where it's strange for me to give this place 5 stars - frankly the combination of smoked meat and tacos just didn't work well for me personally. However, each of the meats was delicious in their own ways, the taco topping were fresh and flavorful, and I loved that they got a frico cheese edge on a few of the taco shells. This was really good food, especially for the price, it just wasn't exactly what I personally prefer.

I went back and forth about giving it 4 stars because I didn't like the fusion combination, or 5 stars for what was clearly great food and service. I decided to do 5 stars, because I'm convinced a lot of other people will really like smoked meat on tacos and I doubt you'll find that combination done anywhere else better than they do it here.

By the way, 3 tacos was plenty for me. They're regular size tacos but in a street taco style. A lot of people would probably be good with just 2 tacos.“

I have tried their memelas, quesadillas, burrito and entomatadas. I can't decide what has been my favorite... you can tell that they use fresh ingredients, their salsa has the right amount of spice to it, the rice and beans complement each other and all of the meats are tender. I highly recommend La Dahlia Mexican Kitchen and cannot wait to return to indulge in their food again!“
