Tons of beginner slopes. Not very crowded.
Great mountain and incredible people up there.
As ownership has changed so, unfortunately, has the vibe. Unfortunate because this was hands-down the best ski resort I've ever visited. It was like skiing with your best friends - at their house - even if you were by yourself you were around... friends.
Not too many friends, mind you, it was and continues to be uncrowded and wide open.
Despite the changes, the vibe is still pretty darned good. This is a great place to ski.

The Powder Keg restaurant is a top-rated spot at Powder Mountain, offering high-quality, five-star ramen and rice bowls that completely blow away the usual ski lodge fare. The dishes are packed with flavor, and the quality is unreal for a ski resort. While it is pricely, it is considered 100% worth it for the exceptional dining experience.
