I haven’t been to the cotton bottom in probably 20 years. I heard they’re no longer strictly a 21 and older bar. They’ve expanded. Their burgers are iconic. Perfect to drop in after a day on the mountain.
Was recommended this place by a local. Showed up with 2 kids and not a problem, they just have to sit in a certain area. It is definitely a dive bar with amazing food and staff. They accommodated our son who’s in a wheelchair. Definitely going to come back the next time we are in town.
When I entered the place I was shown a couple table choices, but we were standing in front of the bar seating and only one guy was sitting at the bar and eating. So I asked if I could sit at the bar. The seating hostess said “the bar’s not open for seating, which table would you like?” Okay…so the guy eating at out was either a friend or an employee, but how about you let me know and not just act like I’m an outsider and an instant problem customer.
