This was my first time at Apex Steak and it was such a great experience! The food tasted amazing and the presentation was impeccable. The sourdough bread loaf was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Melted in my mouth with the honey butter. The Empire salad had interesting and unique flavors and was a refreshing start to the meal. We also had the filet and lobster, both absolutely delicious. The mac and cheese was good, but probably the least exciting part of the meal....
We went in the afternoon for a work lunch. Im not sure if they just don't like making fresh food when it's not busy, but everyone's fries were completely hard and stale. Half way through maybe you'd find one or two fresh fries that were actually warm and soft, but the rest were like eating kettle cooked chips. Honestly I ate more of the stale fries than the actual entrée itself, because the stale fries were more appetizing. One of our Forager's was cold...
Food was excellent. For some reason our server never came to our table even after asking and clarifying if he was indeed our server. I had to ask other waiting staff to help out the entire time. Had to ask other staff for check. Extremely poor service today.
