Every bit was absolutely delicious, we came for a bday dinner and the dessert was amazing, this was our first time here for all four of us and every person left their plates clean!
This is easily my favorite Mexican restaurant in Utah. I just don’t understand how anyone can rate it less than 5 stars… maybe they had covid and couldn’t taste anything? The flavor profiles are absolute art. It’s pricy but I’ve never gotten an impression that they compromise on quality. Tortillas are meaty, meat portions are plentiful, everything is cooked to perfection.

Oteo Restaurant | Mexican is a Mexican restaurant in Utah. The restaurant is beautifully designed. Every bit of the food is absolutely delicious, and the flavor profiles are absolute art. The tortillas are meaty, the meat portions are plentiful, and everything is cooked to perfection. The steak is so tender, and the shrimp is cooked to perfection. The salmon tacos are so fresh, and the filet mignon is served with the most amazing potatoes. The sope is enjoyed, and the queso fundido has a delightful unexpected sweetness from plantain bits. The tostada bocadillo is a little party in the mouth. The new Caesar salad is beautiful and delicious, and the croutons almost melt in the mouth. The dessert is amazing. The produce tastes so fresh. It is pricy but there is no compromise on quality. The service is friendly and attentive at times, though some waitresses seem cold and bothered by your presence, and the energy is just off. The staff is extremely friendly and shared the story behind the purpose of their restaurant. The chef explains the history behind each dish. The restaurant honors their mother during her chemotherapy journey and creates foods she could eat. Reservations on open table are recommended.
