Been here quite a few times. I would say the food varies every time between going above and beyond to leaving out an item I requested. That’s why it gets a 4 star for me. Honestly it’s one of my favorite cafe rios because it offers pickled onions that actually taste pretty authentic.
Cafe Rio was hittin’, but not gonna lie — a couple things had me like bruh. First off, they’ve got a drive‑thru, which is kinda wild for a spot like this, so props for that. But then… they didn’t give me a knife. How am I supposed to cut my burrito without one? The drive‑thru clerk gotta be a little more locked‑in, fr. That’s the whole reason this isn’t a 5‑star situation.

I ordered the new handheld burrito because I'm not a big enchilada style guy, but then they didn't put hot sauce inside my burrito. I stopped and asked for them to put the sauce in and they said that they won't. They insisted that handheld burritos do not include sauce inside, and that I wouldn't need to buy the more expensive non handheld version if I wanted sauce. So I had them turn it into a standard burrito, which meant just moving it to a different container...
