Cafe Shambala Reviews
I absolutely love Cafe Shambala and highly recommend stopping by! Every time we host family or guests visiting, we bring them to eat here. Both the lunch buffet and the dinner menu are delicious. Our favorites are the spiced potatoes, the marinated chicken, the momos, and the traditional rice pudding dessert. My husband and I have never had less than a 5-star experience, especially with the excellent service.

Cafe Shambala is a local gem in Salt Lake City, offering delicious and authentic cuisine. The portions are huge, and the ginger sauce is a must-try. With a variety of vegetarian options, including the standout Vegetable Phing, the restaurant caters well to those seeking healthy and vegan choices, featuring a clearly marked vegan section on the menu. The staff is friendly and welcoming, often taking the time to explain dishes to customers. The atmosphere is cozy, enhanced by fantastic tea choices like Chai and Lemon tea, and is decorated with images of the Dali Lama, Buddha, and other significant figures of Tibetan Buddhism. Many reviews highlight that the Momos are to die for and that Tibetan food is a rare find in the U.S. The restaurant also offers a lunch buffet, although some customers have noted that the warmers could be hotter. For those looking for unique gifts, the Tibetan gift store within the restaurant features beautiful cashmere shawls, jewelry, and other items, all at reasonable prices. Free street parking nearby makes it easy to dine in, making Cafe Shambala a must-visit spot for a satisfying meal.
