The ratio of toppings to the dog is ridiculous. So many toppings, you can't even taste the dog. It's expensive, too. The yucca fries were pretty good. However, their service is horrible! Everyone in my group got their food in a timely manner. By the time I got mine, everyone was done eating. In addition, the staff is rude, and didn't care or apologize. I would not go there again.

truly recommend this food! It’s not fast food — they actually take their time to prepare everything with care, and their dishes have an exquisite mix of protein. I honestly can’t wait to come back.

I’m a picky eater! My standards are high. These fine folks at Caracas Dog make really good food — bursting with flavor. Very good food. Highly recommend it!

Went there today and my friend waited for about 30 minutes to not even get his food.
Only one person was working, barely understood what I was ordering.
Food came out all of it was wrong but the fries, 2 bacon wrapped hot dogs was what I ordered. When it came out bacon looked completely raw, and only 2 of the 5 items I asked to be on them. When I paid and extra 4$ for bacon to come out completely raw it’s not good. 26$ for my order to be wrong is very frustrating.

The only reason this is getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because the first time I went here it was very good. However when I just went there 1 person was working and went she took my order she didn’t know what I was talking about when I asked for something of the menu. After I placed my order I waited 40 minutes to then be given the wrong order. A friend was also given the wrong order. Poor service, understaffed.

Food was absolutely fantastic!! We got the loaded vegan hot dot, a pepito dog, and the fried arepitas. The line was long, but the food is worth it!! The owner is so kind as well. Great experience. Would definitely come here again!

I originally reviewed this place after my first visit, and I ordered some more food from them after I wrote the review. Unfortunately, my experience the second time was not as good.

I ordered my food online to go, which indicated it would be ready in 10 minutes. I got to the restaurant about 10 minutes after, and ultimately waited about an hour before I actually got my hot dog. It seemed like one employee (who was working as fast as she could) was left to do everything, and she had stopped accepting new orders just to try to catch up.

I also suspect that in the rush I may have been served a real meat hot dog as opposed to their vegan option as ordered, because I have had stomach pains all day today (I ate it for dinner last night). I don’t know if this is definitely the cause of my discomfort, but it seems like the most likely cause.

It’s a bummer because I like their food and want to support them, but I’m a little wary after last night.

Original review: Super tasty food with staff who is attentive to dietary restrictions! Awesome part of the local cuisine in SLC.

I had eaten there 3 times already, and the quality goes better and better every time. Attention to client is always 10/10. If you are looking to try Hot Dogs out of the ordinary, then Caracas Dog is the place for you.
